We are currently in a debt settlement program. We are 18 months into a 36 month plan - and have reached what was supposed to be our savings goal, only to find our new proposed settlement total is now $10,000 more! Do you have a program that can help us?

Back in 1996 I was divorced,there was a Visa Card that my ex forged my name and was deemed a Fraudulant account by First USA. ($6K). I lost a letter that First USA sent me back in '96 excluding me from any responsibility due to fraud, I fought a collection agency back in 99 and won now I just received another collection agency notice. A. Do I have to respond to them. B.SOL in Ma is 6 years, should I send them a letter to cease communication and threaten law suit if they affect me credit rating?

LOL Got an email from Experian earlier this evening on MY 'online' report dispute. They also show an update on two of the accounts that Equifax had just just recently updated on! Two accounts that were 'charge offs', have been now upgraded to 'pays as agrees'.

I just joined and am currently tangled in 10,000 dollars of debt and am here to recieve good info and advice from others that are affected by debt and taken advantage of by companies that aren't legit or that seek victims. I have been sued by Pressler and Pressler for a debt that I have never heard of and believe they have the wrong person. They made claims to addresses not mine, etc. After I received the summons I responded to the courts. Since then Pressler and Pressler has sent me paper work called Interrogatories, they state I must answer all the questions or they may get a default judgement. These questions are basically their investigation, where have I lived, what checking accounts have I used the last 5 years, etc. I am not answering these things, are they crazy!

I have a suggestion. Its just a suggestion and its not anything huge, but its something that I've been thinking about in the debtcc point area. I think it would be very helpful, if when we cash our points in, that when we receive the email stating that we've been paid, that you tell us exactly what the points were when they were cashed. Sometimes I know what my points were when I turned them in, but I might continue to keep posting, and I'm confused about where they were actually cut off at. Thats why I always email to ask what my points were upon the actual 'cash in'.
