I keep getting calls from sallie mae and this 702 number 20+ times/day. I am sure that it is the two payments that they say that i owe WHILE I WAS IN I-FRIKINRAQ fighting a war. I was on an active duty deferrment but they say that one only gets that for one year. It is high time that i let JAG handle them.

I have been in debt management with T&C for two months. I am getting harassing phone calls from a credit card company trying to force me to send them a payment. They are basically downtalking T and C and telling me they aren't sending them payments when they are. I'm getting 6-8 calls a day from them, 10-20 minutes apart and when I answer, nobody is there. This is at all hours.

I read on my credit report that my bank had written off my auto loan acct. Ok, it's 2006 and i check my report and it says they charged it off to academy collections, i never in 5 years heard from 'academy' and i'm afraid of calling them incase they want the vehicle (i'm broke) why do you think i never heard from them, and now what do i do?

Hi i was an authorized my girlfriends providian card five years ago and providian agreed and removed the account from all three credit reports when i disputed them a year ago asset acceptence removed it from two reports after lots phone calls to them and providian and credit bureaus but it still remains on Equifax so now after talking to asset acceptence they now saying its a fraud account and that i have to file a fraud report with local police and the ftc providian can not give me any info or proof because i am not account holder desperate what to do Thanks

How do you find out if an agency is authorized to collect in your state?

I have recently recieved a letter from a lawyer stating he planned to sue for a outstanding debt I have. This debt is getting old and I believe might be past the SOL date. I have tried contacting the original company that gave the loan to find the out the date of last payment and they will not give me any answers, only tell me to contact the collection agency that is handling it. Does anyone know if this is the correct way to obtain this information? Should I send a letter of validation to the collection agancy or to the lawyer that is now contacting me?

I received a phone call stating that since I had 6 returned ACH debits (all from the same company because they decided to run them through that many times), they had the authority to issue 6 misdemeanor warrants and send an officer to my job to arrest me unless I paid the debt immediately. Is this possible?
