Can you provide me a list of reputable non-profit, debt consolidation companies?

Got a letter today from an ONWEST21, P.O. Box 1022, Wixom, MI. 48393-1022. There was the usual letters saying that I owe so much money to Sallie Mae. The thing is that on the payment stub has West Asset Management, Inc., P.O. Box 790113, St. Louis, MO. 631790113. I am on disability, and Sallie Mae had my disability check garnished for over a year now. West wants me to start a program designed to reduce the amount taken from my check each month - the William D. Ford Program. West told me that I owe about $4000.

I am wondering if I file chapter 13 on the second mortgage that I have on my mother's house, will I still owe money on that 2nd mortgage at the end (3-5 year) payment plan? The 2nd mortgage is in my name the 1rst mortgage is in my mother's name. The 2nd mortgage is for 100,000.

I have questions. I took out a payday loan in 2008, they are now tring to collect the money. In 2008 the loan amount was 200 and now they want me to pay over 700. I don't understand that, plus I want to pay my debit but they won't work with me.. They get angry and tell me they are going to send a process server and the sheriff dept to serve me to take me to jail.. But I want to pay my debit. Can someone pleas give me advice? I don't know what to do?

I made arrangements to pay them because I do owe the debt and want to pay it back. I sent a money order and they said they didnt' get it. I told them that i'd send them 20 dollars until i can pay them some more and they will let me make arrangments? I thought money is money.

Has anyone out there ever received a refund for overpayment (interest) on a payday loan? If so, what company and how long did it take? I have paid the principal and then some on all of these loans. I am waiting for refunds from the following companies and wonder if I will ever see a penney. Thanks. while checking my credit report. I saw a collection agency had listed a debt I was unware of. After doing some research. It was a hospital bill. I later found out that the bill was never submitted to my insurance company. The debt was from 2007. And is now posted on my credit report dated 12/2011. Am I still reliable for a bill the hospital failed to submit? The collection agency nor the hospital can provide me with a detailed bill. I went for a allergic reaction. I huge bill of 1887.00 That's absurd!!!!
