What's the easiest way to get a copy of your credit report?

My sister just received a wage assignment from her payroll department at work. She takes responsibility for her loan. I have ready through the forum and she did sign this loan in person, she WAS NOT sent a letter stating that this was going to happen. Does she have a leg to stand on? Can she send them a letter revoking it? Thanks.

Is there somwhere I can find sample validation letters and such? I need to send some letters and begin the process of cleaning up my credit report. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, I will admit it, like I did in a previous post. I RUIN myself come the holidays. I can't help it, I am a purchasing cow when it comes to holiday gift giving. I don't give my kids all year except on their birthdays and when school time rolls around and they need new sneakers, clothes etc., So come the holidays, I make up for it BIG TIME. Hi all, I am on a roll tonight, you are all going to wake up and log on and freak out at all my questions! LOL! My new question is: in the "personal information" section of my experian credit report, there are 8 names listed there that are similar to mine. Some of them are incorrect though. There is also a variation on my social security number, and under spouse's name, it lists my ex-boyfriend, whom I was never married to. Is it possible to dispute these items, and if so, how do I go about it? Also, how do I find out which account is using the variation on my social security number?

Hi all! I had a quick couple of questions about inquiries on my credit report. From what I understand, inquiries will come off after 2 years. Is that right? Second question, is it true that 5 points are taken off my credit score for every inquiry? I don't remember where I read this, whether it was here at the forum or somewhere else, but that freaks me out, that is a lot of points!! My third question: are those 5 points (or however many it actually is) given back when the inquiry is taken off? Thanks all! ~Mary :)

I noticed in my Equifax credit report that my bank (a credit union) ran a soft inquiry on me. This is the bank that helped me handle the payday loans problem by closing my checking account and opening a new one with a different account number. Also, there is a AR code next to it meaning this is a periodic review of my credit history. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Will I expect problems from my bank? My credit score is around 650 even though I have 3 charge-off accounts nearing their 7 year reporting time soon and 2 disputed old collection items, also close to 7 year reporting.
