Hi, I called a couple of my creditors today...yes, I got ballsie and decided to call. I wanted to find out what the pay off was on a couple of accounts. Get this. After being on hold for almost 15 minutes, an agent comes on, takes all of my information, then pulls it up on the computer and says sorry, I can't talk to you about this account. I'm like, excuse me.

Hello everyone. I need to get a copy of my credit reports to get underway with my debt consolidation process. Back in July of 2005 I went to annualcreditreport.com and got them, but my year isn't up yet and I can't get another copy. I don't have any credit or debit cards, so is there anyway of obtaining them? :?:

I'm currently disputing a debt with a collection agency for an account I haven't used in years; I believe the statute of limitations has passed. The account has been sold several times, and is still appearing on my credit report. Should I close this account, or leave it open? I know this won't affect my current situation, but I hate having it out there if I never use it - I don't even have a card for it! The last purchase was made in the mid-90's. thanks :-)

Ok folkss, here's a good one. I got a letter from Island National Group today. They say they already sent me a letter saying that they are collection on an RJM Acquisitions account -- which was originally a Fingerhut account. Uh huh, ok so as I read through this letter it says they are offering me a deal!! Uh huh $37 off my balance with my first payment, then each time I make a payment I will get another coupon for more $$ off my balance. What's the catch you might ask??

This is the name of a new collection agency to my collection. Question is....This was an electric bill from 2000. To my knowledge, it was never through a collection agency until now. So..If I pay this to InoVision, does this start everything all over again, or does this debt still belong to 2000????? It's only $213, which I can pay next week no problem, but is it going to make it stay around longer?
