Can someone please help me asap. I have looked into signing up with curadebt.com or american debt foundation but both are settlement companies and i'm not sure if this is the best way to go or if i should do consolidation/management. I have 45,000 credit card debt and am behind. i have a car lease ending in 7/06 and need to be able to get another car. What is better for me to do and any good companies out there with low fees? Consolidation companies seem to want a lot of money monthly-@1050 and I can afford that -that's the same as my minimum payments. Please help.Thnaks
I'm getting calls at my mom's house from a company called GCS from Arizona...not sure if it is a collection agency or not, but you know how it is when you are getting other collection calls, you are scared to answer the phone...LOL :) Any help is appreciated :)

Hi, I have sent out several validation letters in December, and it is now the end of January, so I should be hearing back from some of these companies. So far, I have not heard back from any. So, what do I do next after they do not respond?
I am working on consolidating with T&C and these people are not cooperating. They are refusing to deal with them. The address I have for them is PO Box 1216, Oaks, PA 19456. Phone 866-958-3278.
It makes no sense to me that they would refuse to accept payments- isn't some money better than no money! I am trying to correct the mess I am in, and I am trying to be responsible for my debt. I guess I didn't think of anyone refusing payment!
Has anyone else had any dealings with them? Are they really this unflexible, or will they eventually deal?

I was sitting here reading the posts this morning and got curious about something. Why does these collection agencies feel they need to threaten to people processed, charging with check fraud, going to jail and better retain an attorney? Don't they realize we are all going to fight back? I am just curious?
I don't have any judgements against me, but I have a feeling an account is about to lead to one...and I was told that a person cannot have more than one judgement against them at a time, so if I do get a judgement against me, no one else can do the same. Is that true? Thanks for all your helpful info.
