I sent them the following letter: To Whom It May Concern: This letter is being sent to you in response to the telephone message left from “XXXX” regarding my account on XXXXXX X, 2006. Be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested.

Hi, husband received his credit report today from Equifax. Remember earlier in the week, these are the same ones that asked for verification of my info on my report, so guess I will be getting one too, his came today. Disappointed. very disappointed. They verified that the Dell accounts, belong to us. okay--I knew this but explained the situation to them about CAs not responding to validation request and then Dell not talking to us, all they came back saying is that they're ours. Also the same with the wells fargo account that I have had major problems with. They said its ours.

can i consolidate by credit card debt only?

Received a phone call on my work phone and cell phone from 702-835-8602. The only information I can find on this number is that it is located in Nevada; probably Las Vegas. What is weird is when I called the number back, it delivers a sales pitch about that I have been approved for a credit card, cash advances, etc. It states to leave your name and phone number, but then it says the mailbox is unable to take message. I am on a "Do Not Call List" and want to rack it to them for calling me. Any ideas on how to do this? I defenitely do no want whatever they are selling, etc.

I requested a phone call a couple of days ago and did not receive it. Did I do something wrong?

Yesterday I received a bill from midland credit management saying they recently started handling the account that I had with FCNB....I don"t know anything about account with FCNB nor ever heard of Midland Credit Management. They say I owe $948.63 or $474.32 if paid before 2/4/06. What should I do, I'm in Ohio this took place in San Diego, CA.???? I have also heard that Debt consolidation can help me outta this situation.

Today is the day that my 8 payday loan fees would draft from my account. I consolidated my loans with Town and Country and have made my first payment to them. I closed my bank account and opened a new one. Suprisingly, I have not been contacted by one payday loan place. After reading these boards, I have expected to be bombarded with calls. Hopefully, my phone will continue to be silent! I was holding my breath until today- now I feel so relieved that I am on my way out of the hell I created for myself!
