Hello i got into a bind with payday loans. Make a long story short i have 6 loans out but cannot repay them back at this time. i talked to a debt consolidation person and they recomened that a close my checking acct. and stop direct deposit?stopped the deposit but know i cant close out checking due to overdrafts. What is the best way to deal with the loan companies and how can i get them to stop calling my work.on the verge of losing job due to them. I also plan on paying them back when i get my income tax in. honest truth, thanks everybody

I'm so scared. I took out a loan more than a month ago to pay for my car to get fixed. I couldn't pay it back and I haven't heard anything from the company since the last call that said, "It will be in your best interest to contact us before Friday." That was last friday. Can I go to jail for a bad check? I wrote it in Alabama and I've been scouring the net for the laws on this thing, but I just can't find anything definitive for AL, one of the few states left where there isn't much legislation on the payday advance companies.

I am in debt and I need to know what would be the best way to go.. I am in debt total about 15,000$.. I currently lost my job and was unemployed for about a month.. now bill time is rolling around and im out of money. Would i be able to get a consolidation loan with not owning a home? I am going to start putting all my extra money to paying off my debt. HELP !! :(

i have currently $40000 in private student loan debt and $8000 in federal student loan debt. I have cosolidated my federal loans and locked in low interest rates. However, the private loans are the ones that are really killing me and i cannot find anyone willing to help with my struggles. It seems these loans are non nogotiable in terms of payoff and bankruptcy is also out of the question. Is there any kind of help with these loans?

Hi folks. I've read through several posts and I've seen some very helpful responses. I was wondering if someone might share some good 3rd party advice for me. I have several oustanding debts (haven't paid in 90+ days due to layoffs and no income) that have gone to collection agencies. They add up to around $4200. I have $3000 that I owe my university's Bursar Office for a semester I stayed in the dorms.

today i recieved a phone call that i owed $700+ on a credit card... and I asked for a monthly payment arragement but they said it was too late that I was 6 months behind and that it was going into legal action... what do I do I dont have $700

I have called the number on this website for debt consolidation, and I was wondering a couple of things. First of all, when I am getting all my bills together, am I going to be consolidating the stuff that is with collection agencies, or with the original creditor? Second, do companies, especially collection agencies, ever refuse to work with the consolidation companies? Some of the collectors are so hateful when I speak to them, it just seems like they will refuse to lower interest rates or cut any deals.
