When someone writes and askes you for 'validation'...what do you send them back? The reason I am asking is because I would like to get the viewpoint of this from the collectors stand point. I only mail out validation request for accounts that I am not sure on. So far in the past I have gotten three responses (the rest have went silent with me never hearing another word from them) and they've all been the same. The word, "verification" is used, not "validation". And every time, its been a copy of the last six payments made on the accounts.

I have 3 payday loans which are automatically deducted from my account and do not have check numbers associated with them. How do I protect the money I have coming in since I cant do a stop payment on a specific check? :(

When I signed up for debt consolidation I was given a name of a company to help me but I didn't print the page or write it down. Is there a way that I can see what the name of that company was? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am in payday loan hell and I would like to get some advice. I registered for the free debt consolidation consultation, and a very nice lady from a law firm called me, but said they could not help me with payday loans. I told her that my plan is to first, close my checking account. Then I will send registered letters to each one stating that I fully intend to pay back the loans and would like to negotiate a payment plan with them. I also plan to send a do not call letter at the same time.

I've be told that once the creditors have charged off the debt there cannot be more thatn 10% per annum of the charge off amount added to the acct. Is this true and if so which document states this?

Has anyone considered talking with the NACA (National Association of Consumer Advocates). Apparently they are attorneys who represent individuals who have been abuse and mistreated with unfair business practices. I'm still seaching for information on Bennett-Deloney, and am coming across information received by the NACA. So I'm curious if the NACA is similiar to the BBB, or if they are just an outside agency.
