i have 4 online loans from tribal lenders who say they are not payday loan companies, are they legal in nc, and can i pay back just the principle owed

i am planning to file suit in small claims court against national recovery solutions llc for violations of the fair debt collections practices act. i have a pretty good case i think. i have a question first though. should i send a letter to the president of the collection agency advising him that i plan to file and requesting a settlement? or should i just skip that part and go directly to court? tia, pat :cool:

I just applied for a payday loan with Eastside Lenders... I live in Kentucky and now after reading on this site I am freaking out... I was approved for $500 and told them I only wanted 200... I dont care to pay back what I borrow with interest and fees but with what I am reading they are gonna charge me like 200% each payday?? What the heck? How can I get this stopped? Do I change my account? Or what? Please help I am scared to death.. I have 6 kids I have to support and cant afford then to take everything or we will be homeless.....

If I try to take out a loan, am I garenteed to get one

How do I know which pay day lenders are illegal in my state. I am working on getting out of debt and I would like to inform all of the payday lenders that I am stopping the ACH and willing to set up monthly payments that I would be able to afford. I was laid off twice between 2007 and 2009. The first time was prior to the 08 collapse from a Pharmaceutical sales company. My wife and I had 0 debt! 1 car paid for and the other a company car. I got a job immediately for the next co. in Jan. of 08. By Jan of 09 that company was in jeopardy of folding. first they hit me with a $40K paycut than 3 months later a layoff. During the beginning of employment there I made more than ever before and bought my wife a new car and I still had a company car. After this layoff I simply could not find a job.

Why I have got a charge from FIA I even don't know what is this and why I have been charge for?

My wife has an un paid credit card debt. We live in new york, Both our names are on the mortgage for our home. We also own a time share that both our names are on. The time share is paid for, but located in florida. My wife no longer works and the unpaid credit card is only in her name. What can happen in terms of our Home & time share. The debt is 15k. We havnt heard anything from any debt collectors - its been two years.
