I thouht fl statue was 4 years for credit card debt.someone is persuing a case basing it on 5 year statue of limitation saying the mial in credit card application is a written instrument.can they legally do this in florida?

I got a call about a month ago from Assett Acceptance saying that I owe DTE engery 145 for an apartment I lived in in 1996. This guy is offering to settle with me for $105. I haven't paid anything. I got a copy of my credit report, and I saw a regular inquiry on my account, which lowers my credit rating. What can I do? I live in the state of Michigan. Can I call this guy back and tell him that I think his claim is bogus? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thought I had everything taken care of. In debt consolidation and everything was going fine until today. I received in the mail a letter from Finkelstein, Kern, Steinberg & Cunningham Attorneys at Law out of Knoxville, Tn, stating that they represent financial institutions in the area of creditors rights. They state that they are representing HSBC that has placed my account with them. It also states that at this time,. no attorney with this frim has personally reviewed the particular circumstances of the said above account.

Hello, Last summer I foolishly took out a few payday loans and got way in over my head. One of the companies I took a loan from was apparently m1ymarketing. The original loan amount was for $300. After encountering trouble repaying the loans I closed my bank account and set about trying to slowly repay the loans one at a time, knowing that some of the would be going to collections. Eventually m1y sent my account off to a collection agency (name forgotten) and I worked out payment arrangements with them over a 3 month period.

Has anyone dealt with this CashNet500? They are my list of creditors with Town and I wondered how they are deal with.

I was working in sales and collection department of cash2day and now i work in another company. i reason for this message is to let know people that how this company works. this is one of the expensive pay day loan company. i suggest you that better to take loans from other companies like "[color=darkred][size=2][prmotional urls not allowed - plz co-operate][/size][/color]" and there are so many which have less than $30 processing fee. cash2day charges $79 dollars from every customers.

Last night a collection agency called supposedly called World at 10:45 pm and wanted to set up payment arrangements. 1st off I blasted them for calling after 9:00pm and they stated that it was only 8:45pm their time and stated that they could call til 9:00 pst. I told them they had to obid by the time zone in which they are calling to. Anyway she went on with her speel about how this debt would impact our credit and I told her we were in debt consolidation and gave her the phone number to call. She asked me for the account number, our address and my ss#.

I am currently dealing with both SJM Marketing and Telmerica,both of which is h***. SJM Marketing for starters drafted my acoount for $250.00 a week before payment was scheduled for payment and when I found out about the issue I place several phone calls, e-mails and faxs (none of which have been returned yet) about the matter. I have been charged return payment fees twice this week from my bank because even after placing a stop payment on SJM they still attempt to draft my account (the stop payment was not posted til after 12 noon but they attempted before then).

Could anyone give advise on how to write a dispute letter? I made a stop payment on SJM Marketing but before it was able to post they attempted to draft my account twice today causing me to be charged numerous return paymnet fees. I am getting p***ed off becuase I don't have money to just be dishing out. I had to stop payment on another loan that was due for payment the day SJM first drafted my account for $250.00 on 12/16/2005 (a week before scheduled payment was due with SJM) and the money SJM drafted was set aside for another loan company and also my car payment.
