Hi all, Going by this forum, I find so many people going through hard times or unwanted situations. It is sad to feel that sympathy for each other is dying these days. A person intimidating or trying to bully the other one does not have any special or supernatural powers to do so. Neither has he had any legal powers to put harassment on him. I don't deny putting into legal actions if it can be done. But causing harassment by using abusive or profane language is unfair. Those doing it can never grow bigger or will never be greeted specially in the god's place.

The new law is quite tough to qualify. I read in the other post that the credit card companies had suffered a lot from Chapter 7 bankruptcy earlier. But if you listen to what I am saying, you would feel for me. I have 5 credit cards with around $20,000 due. But I was forced to take these cards, trust me. It's true that I'm a grown up and have the ability to decide what suits me and what does not. But these card companies are like glue you know. They insist you such a way that you are compelled to take one. Okay, I've lost my job 3 months ago and passing through a hard time.

My credit is not good; I had filed bankruptcy in 2003. I am buying home now. But no one is approving the loan. Please show me some way, getting frustrated day by day.

I have a few unsecured debts that went to collection few months back. But my financial condition was so pathetic that I could not pay the installments. Now the collection agency is calling me and asking to settle the debt at a lower amount. What should I do? Will I be able to save if I go with them?

Today I have received 2 calls from 800-440-5869. The number looks familiar but have done searches and can't find out whos number it is. Does anyone know?

I have several payday loans, I just put a hold on my checking account because it was killing me to pay the fee. I want to make some kind of arrangement with each company or consolidated them into one payment but not sure how to do that

Thank you for the site - I am taking a loan out against my 401k to clean up my credit report from past history. My credit report shows two credit cards from ten years ago. I have had no activity on these cards since 1995 in Illinois. One of the cards was charged off by the credit card company in 1995 - the second card was listed with Asset Acceptance - I contacted Asset to make arrangment to pay the debt showing on my credit card but was informed that they had two records on me for both credit cards and I had to take care of both of them.

What does the term 'executory contract' in bankruptcy mean? My lawyer was telling me something about it. I didn't understand him.
