Has anyone heard of Island National Group LLC out of New York? I have been dealing with the same debt for the passed few years and send Money every month and it seems this debt has been in the hands of many different collector agencies.I can't figure out why it keeps changing hands. As far as this new agency ( Island National Group) I can't find any information on them! Any one herd of them?[color=blue][/color]

I am in a debt settlement program. The company I am working with has taken over all contact with creditors. They instructed me in the begining about 9 months ago to log all messages and calls for them. I did this, and haven't returned any messages from creditors. The calls all stopped about 3 months ago. I have not been contacted about any court proceedings, but I do understand that this may happen. Do they have to notify me prior to any court proceedings? Were their phone calls enough? If they don't notify me, and get a judgment...what's next?

Does anyone know of any at home business companies that are legitimate? Not ones that are asking for you to pay money in order to see their programs. Thanks in advance!!

Now I?m trying to file bankruptcy, since Im not able to pay all my medical bills and credit card dues. Can bankruptcy write off private student loans?

When you use a consolidation co. Is it normal practice for the collection agency that they are paying for you to continue to charge and interest rate of 12%per annum? My principle owed now is $32.00, the interest owed is 517.19 I tried to see if they would settle for less but wasnt resonable enough. Thank you

I am in a debt consolidation program so my credit report is being hit a bit hard right now with that showing up negatively. I want to try to refinance my vehicle and my home (mobile) though...is there a chance in hell I could be refinanced or would I be wasting my time? Should I try to refinance with the institutions that currently have the loans or should I look into somewhere else? Thanks! Kate
