2 years ago I took out a loan for a used car. Then I let someone borrow the car and they got it seized by the state and then the credit union changed the loan to a personal loan and now they say they are taking legal action against me because I cant pay the loan because I am unemployed and I have tried to talk to them to work something out but they just get hostile with me over the phone is there anything I can do

I don't own a home but i am looking for a debt consolidation loan, is that possible?

I moved to the state of florida in 2001 and waited till 2003 to change my drivers license over. When I went to the dmv the told me I had a warrent for my arrest in the state of Colorado. I have never in my life been to Colorado. For 2 1/2 yrs. I had to call person after person in that state tryiong to fix this. they kept saying theres nothing they could do. I got so sick to my stomache and my hands started shaking everytime I had to make another call so I had to have my husband do it. after a yr. of my husband talking to the district attourney over there he finally threatened to sue.

I have worked for walmart supercenter for 3 yrs. now my store has a new manager and he cut my hours. last month i worked 8 hrs. for the whole month and had to collect unemployment. right now the only company who is threating to send me to collections is scholastic for my daughters books. i'm trying really hard to keep things together. i never know if i'm gonna be working or not. and my pay is suppose to be for the food shopping so i find myself haveing to take money from the bills to buy food to feed my 1yr old daughter. i get so stressed it makes me sick to my stomache.

I am in the process of a divorce, my ex-husband has refused to pay any cc's with my name on them, about a year ago, I moved out of the family has (he still resides there), I placed the cc's on a debt management program, but took it off in June when I lost my job and was not able to make the payments. I have not paid on any of them since June of 05.

because of a recent medical emergency ( my husbands triple by-pass surgery; we have no insurance or savings )we are behind on our mortgage (3 mos) and car payment (2 mos). I was told they would not accept partial payments because it would mess up the book keeping. Can I stll send a partial payment (equals full payment when paid every two weeks.)

I had a several payday loans a while back and paid them off. A few months ago, I was a victim of identity theft and all of a sudden I found tons of ACH's coming out of my account, I'd see money coming in and immediately coming back out and then I'd get stuck with the fees. Finally after arguing with my bank I closed my accounts. they claimed that since I had several payday loans before, how can they distinguish that I didn't take these new ones out too. They wouldnt' investigate the matter.

I'm seeking advice on how to deal with MRS associates collections when threats have been made. Here my situation. I divorced 1.5 years ago from my husband and was contacted via email from him with the question if I know of an account opened linked to one of my previous addresses because payments have been made from there (how do you proof something like this?) but opened with his SSN. He also asked me to contact MRS associates collection, since an amount of about $1,700 was very delinquent. So I did - and was immediately accused of identity theft and fraud.
