Anyone reading anything interesting right now?
I just finished "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham and am about to embark on Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas."

I have some old credit card debt. The dates however on my credit report report a date when the collection agency took the debt over. How can I find out if my accounts have exceeded the statute (California & Arizona). If they have exceeded the statute is it still recommended to pay these debts to have "paid" instead of "charge off" on my record?
Can a charged off credit card balance (12yrs) be added to a newly opened account with the same credit card company? (The new account was opened when the bank bought another credit card issuer with whom I had an account in good standing.) Thank you.
I received a recorded message from a company with the phone number of 800-392-4029. Of course they left now information about what to call them about or who they were.
I am 24 yrs. old and over the past two years I have maxed out three credit cards. My over all debt is aproximatetly 15 thousand dollars. I have recieved two letters stating that I my account is going to be placed as a "bad debit" which can ruin my credit for up to 7yrs. I have had trouble over the past 2yrs. finding work which is how I acrued this debt. I am only doing tempt work right now, how do I handle this situation w/out stable income?
Discover card told me that there is a federal law preventing them from removing bad information from my credit report. Is this true? Also, they are charging off the entire balance next month, should I settle even if they are going to leave "settled for less than full" on my account.
