can they sue you in the state of california? i made payments arrangements with them, but fell behind on the payments, Now they are saying that i owe them $993 for a $300 loan, and that I will sued in court for $3000 plus any portion of the unpaid $993.00. my question is, can i be taken to court?

Would settlement be better for my credit than pursuing a hardship program? I understand that settlement requires my accts to go as far as 180 days late and that would cause major decrease in credit score. I am trying to see which route to take in order to get my score back up quickly. I read somewhere on here about someone settling and rebuilding their credit within 2 yrs where as if they were in hardship program they would only be 2 yrs into 5 yr program.

Midland Credit keeps calling be about 8AM (waking me up) and has done do for the past several days. They ask for my daughter Lynne who does not live at my address here and has never lived at my address. When I explain this to them they just hang up. The next morning I get the same call again. I phoned them today and, while they agree to remove my phone number, they were so nasty that I don't believe them. Today, I also sent them a certified letter asking them to cease. What is my next step if they phone me again? John

i live in MS. I have taken out two payday loans one that has a payback of 254 and one that is for 350+ i need to know how i can get qualified for some kind of payday loan consiladation. I need help even though it's two loans i feel like i am drowning and can't get out. I cant get a finance loan because i have no collaterall i dont know what to do any advice?

I am dealing with Eastside Lenders in Delaware. I have sent them the unlicensed letter with revoking my wage assignment. I had paid most of the principal and have $145.00 left to pay. I told them I will be mailing it in with a money order. They are telling me that they don't do anything with postal mail and it will not show arrangement beind made to the account. In this instance what do I do.

TRY TO GOOGLE THE COMPANY NAME AND INFO AND CANT FIND ANYTHING ON THEM ALSO THEY DIDNT SEND ME ANYTHING IN WRITING JUST WONDERING IF THE COMPANY IS A SCAM????:confused:

I have lived in TN for 9 years now; 1. In June 2012 I received a letter from my bank (account in KY) stating a garnishment/state levy was served on the bank and they held $65.26 from my checking account, attached was a pink copy from Commonwealth of Kentucky Court of Justice 'Order of Garnishment' dated May 2010 for creditor; Elite Recovery Services and Attorney Morgan & Pottinger of Louisville KY on the line for Amount Due '$2538.06 April 2008', with 'Probable Court Cost $10.00' 2. In March 2011 I received a letter from Morgan & Pottinger = Re: Elite Recovery Services Inc vs.

I am in Indiana and did an online loan with VIP Loan Shop. So, I received an email from VIP Loan Shop (PDL Support) the other day wanting to "settle" my account for far more than I owe. I was finally able to close my bank account and I sent the letter to them from this forum. I am from Ohio and currently have a $2600 loan with Cash Call. I am a commission only sales rep, and my sales have been bad. My bank account is short this month, so I know I am going to default. Since I know this is coming, can I contact them and let them know that I am aware and see if they can give me a lower monthly payment? Basically I just need to know what my next step will be since I'm sure their ACH will be rejected.
