13 years 7 months ago
Hi, How long can a car company sue for a repo in California. My credit report shows it was repossessed in June of 2010. They have been treating to sue me for the last year but I have yet to receive anything from an attorney only threats from their ???deficiency ???department. I cannot afford the repo amount and when I offered a smaller settlement they said they would take it if I gave a postdated check and my checking account info.

Years ago before my daughter even bought a car, a person with the same First and Last name, apparently purchased a car and defaulted I guess, but the SS numbers didn't match and nor the middle name. So the collections companies, have called here looking for a person with our daughters first and last name. Its been a while but now it is starting up again with Allied Interstate. What do we do?

Need a little help on what to do next

13 years 7 months ago
I live in New York and on May 25, 2012 I took out a loan from Zip19 for $1055.00. I am also retired and receive a pension. The loan was due on June 8 in the amount of $1265.00 and I did not have the funds available. I have had several loans with Zip19 and have always made the payments which included the interest on time. I received a phone call from their e-care department and the person was really rude and disrespectful, even when I told him that I was willing to make payments to payoff the account. So I hung up on him.

I can't pay my payday loans

13 years 7 months ago
I have been trapped in the payday loan cycle for the last 3 years. I'm done and I WANT OUT! I can barely pay my regular bills let alone the payday loans. My credit has been wrecked because of the payday loan companies sending my accounts to collections. The loans that I need to pay off are LEGAL, so I need to find a way to get them paid off. I am living off of very little right now and I am behind on all my credit cards. Even a payment plan doesn't sound viable right now to get the pdl's paid off. I don't know what to do. HELP!

Revoking ACH from account - stopping PDL withdrawals

13 years 7 months ago
I want to revoke ach withdrawals from my checking account but my bank wants to charge me $30.00 for each stop payment. Could I file a fraud claim instead? Wouldn't this be considered fraud since I have already paid the principle on the loans? I know the advice is to close my account, but it is impossible to do so at this time. I have too many payments coming out in the next few days (as well as direct deposits). Advice?

Help

I have two different payday loans. One is SplashCash borrowed 300 total payback is 390. I have been paying them every 2 weeks due to more financial hardship. They keep increasing the payback amount? What should I do? The other is CashNet USA...are these lenders willing to work with me? I am afraid I can be arrested or prosecuted for a bad check!!!

collections on illegal payday loans

I believe I have a collection on a loan I took out with Plain Green loans on my credit report. If an illegal payday company sells your account to a collection agency are you still liable for the principle amount only?
