I revoked the payday loans that were illegal in my State. I did pay all the principal on the loans plus way too much interest. I revoked all the illegal ones and I noticed I had an email in my junk mailbox that says they are going to turn me over to the sheriff and take me to small claims court. The company they listed I didn't even have a loan with?? Should I be worried?

Hello. I'll try to organize this so that the situation makes sense The first question/situation is in regard to credit card debit I defaulted on in 2016. The original debt company was citibank, but eventually they sold the debt to a Portfolio Recovery Assets (?), LLC. After doing my research I typically send a debt verification letter to the collection agency with legal wording, which at that point they eventually back off and leave me alone until they sell the debt to another company.
