Two years ago, I got into trouble with payday loans online and with the help of this site, I was able to get from under them with the tools provided. I did still owe Cashnet money, around $168 and did not pay them. Audubon Financial Bureau keeps calling me and threatening to send my account "out" to my county's court system. Last time they called, they lied and said they were calling from a "the law offices of AFB associtates". I never received any letters from them and when I talked to a rep recently he claims that they have sent 6 and they were returned.

A collection agency put a charge off on my credit report. They never called or wrote me a letter. I called them not knowing about the charge off and they tried to make me pay more than I could a month. I have no proof from this company what this is about. Isn't it kind of wrong to of them to charge off on my credit report and still expect money from me?

I live in Maryland and have multiple payday loans that are taking almost all off my paycheck I want to settle them and just pay the prinicple but am being told that I can not do this. Also if i try they will sue me and out me in jail. I was thinking about changing by bank account information to pevent them fromt aking money but did not want to get into trouble or go to jail.

if you are supposed to not make payments for 3-4 months to prepare for debt consolidation assistance how is this possible when the automatically take their money from the checking account.

I signed a pay day loan 6 months ago,for $1000. Lost some of my income this month, and I am having financial difficulty. I already have repaid them back $2500! I requested them to stop debiting my account because I was unable to pay. I closed my checking account due to them overdrawing my account. My husband received a call today from the law offices of Michael Scott trying to collect a debt from capital one that has charged off. They said they are going to sue us if we do not pay them. The debt started off as a $500 credit card. They now are wanting $1800. They said they will settle for $1400, with a down payment of $600. We have not received any mail from them, just a phone call. Can I ask for a letter of verification from them?

So its been two weeks since I sent letters to all my illegal lending requesting PIF letters and I have not received any communication. I have resent the letters a few times and filed compliants with the FTC and AG. What should I do next? I received one PIF letter and have over paid on all these lenders.
