I have received a few threatening calls from this place. The caller is a Kelly LaRocca and when you call the number they give you to respond it says it is the desk of Ryan Cohen. She states that she will be serving me papers at my place of work Monday unless I call and discuss. I have done some research and everything points to a scam. Some people however, report they do shoe up and serve papers. Not sure what happens. I have never gotten anything in writing from them. I did leave a message on the VM stating I would like a written notice of a debt.

I filed for bankruptcy in 2003 on credit cards and now that I am trying refiniance my home to recieve a lower rate my current lender is telling me my home was part of the bankruptcy and there was no reaffirmation done.....Not sure what to do next....The lawyer I used has sinced passed away.....any suggestions??

Hello, I took out a loan from Western Sky for $2,500 who then sold it to CashCall. I've made about $2,000 in payments so far. I hear that since the loan was from Western Sky a tribal lender that the original loan is invalid so Cash Call can not do anything to me if I tell them that I will just pay the original loan amount and nothing else. There seems to be a lot on conflict in answers about this in NJ. What are the legal answers if any and where do I find them? Thanks

Hi Everyone- Here is crazy story- Got a private student loan with my mom as a co-signer a few years ago; was supposed to start paying it, but I didnt, now the loan went on default; AES had it but now it was given to MRS Collection Agency; which are calling my mom, myself and even cousins and uncles which I feel is completely out of line; can they be doing this? I am now at the point where I want to start paying this off; but the problem is that I don't know if there is anyway I can do a rehab program now since its in the collection agency.
