I have an internet pay day loan that I'm 2 payments behind on. They do not have access to my checking account. Rather than the loan defaulting, though, and collection action taken, they're just letting the missed finance payments accumulate as late charges. I've never seen this before - can they do this? I'm in the process of putting together a letter of intent for the principle, but the thought of the finance charges rolling on top of each other has me a little freaked out. I'm not sure if I am in the right place let alone the right topic. I have an issue. I bought a truck in mid march. I paid a total of $2500 down on the truck by paying $2000 up front and $500 2 weeks later. Well mid April I had some unexpected things come up and wasn't able to adhere to an agreed promise date. Hey, I got home from work last night and there was a voicemail on the home phone, a number I don't give out(I did have a couple payday loans but I would never give my home number because my family members would investigate). The loans are from January, I paid most of the principal amount but they were knocking me with the fees + bank fees from not having enough money to pay back, so I did what this website suggested, closing my bank account, writing each a letter stating they can't take money and to contact me for payment, etc since the loans are illegal in MA. No one contacted me!

My husband just received a summons recently for a $1600 debt through Citibank filed by Frederick Hanna. We are not sure about the debt to begin with, though if we actually owe it we'd like to settle if possible. The guy serving it said go to the magistrate within 30 days to fight/explain our situation and chances are no one will show up for the other side. My husband has tried calling countless times without reaching anyone and no call back. What should we do? Obviously we don't want a default judgment against us.

today i got a call from an 877 number - lady stating she was calling to verify the last 4 digits of my social ( which she did have correct ) she then stated she had to verify information because my "case" was being referred for court summons - i told her that i didnt know of anything being in collection to that point - she said " no one has contacted you about this ?" and i said no -she put me on hold for about 4 minutes and i had to hang up because i was at work - she called back and said she wanted me to talk to the legal division and left the 877 number and then said "good luck toyou" i c

Self-employed with variable month-to-month income. Unexpected recession effecting my incoming combined with some overspending ends me up with $115K in credit card debt (6 cards, half business, half personal, interest rates varying from 8-24% - average out to about 14%). I was hoping for a faster economic and personal financial turnaround but it has not happened. I have a long standing history of many accounts with no negative items on my credit report.

I had a message left on my phone today stating that they were reporting my account that I have with Flobridge to the credit agencies. What are the steps that I have to to take now? .They are an illegal loan company, and they are not licensed in Nevada. They know I'm only settling for the principle amount, and they agreed to this.
