I was just sent a letter asking to join a secret "Nouveau Tech" society. I'm not going to do it - the letter reeks of a scam.

However, I just was wondering if anyone else has gotten this kind of letter - it is kind of creepy.

I also received a letter from the Nouveau Tech Society: With the knowledge that I already have about the anceint world, it was already obvious that these people have no clue on what they're talking about. So, that leaves me with just only one conclusion...this is a scam!! And everyone that receives such a letter should report it to their local postal investigator, so our government can do the job that our tax dollars pays them to do....

I'd just like to state here and now that I'd purly LOVE to join the Nouveau Tech Society but my local Trilateral Commission supervisor and his boss over at Illuminati headquarters wouldn't like it. :-(

I also received a letter in the mail from this secret society. Since it stated it costs nothing, I replied by the dead-line. I then received my "book" in the mail, which turned out to be an orientation pamplet, one day before my deadline to join. I immediately read the pamplet, and saved the letters for last. When I came to the letter telling me I had to pay $139.95 for this 100-page book, my first thought was...hmm, rent vs. book. The thing that really got me, was that in the orientation, which is in fact five "testimonials", all of these people were "miraculously" handed this amazing manuscript. So, if these people were GIVEN the secret to ultimate happiness and success, because they have the same inate talents and abilities as I do: Why do I (strong emphasis), have to pay $139.00 to get it?! And on an additional note, as far as the whole $.37 stamp thing goes, I get letters in the mail ALL THE TIME, from companies that offer to pay me to stuff envelopes with their adds, stamp them and send them out, at which point, if the people who are on the list of names that THEY provide, buy/subscribe to said product, I will be sent my fee. Therefor, the fact that it had a stamp on it doesn't mean anything really.

i know i just posted on here, but after posting my comment, i was further researching this matter, and came across something of interest....
as you recall, your pamplet includes "testimonials" of subscribers to this book. one of these is of a man telling you "anononymously" of the 10-second miracle. he tells you about how he ended up being sentenced to jail for two years because,"In my zeal and zest to be successful and trying to apply all these things, I started to cut coners. Money got so tight that I did some illegal things involving my credit cards.". Oddly enough, when I typed Kevin Trudeaus name into yahoo, i came upon a site...

Link deleted as per forum rules - Mike

which states ...

"During the early 1990s, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Trudeau served nearly two years in prison. In 1990, he pled guilty to larceny in a Cambridge, Massachusetts, state court in connection with $80,000 in worthless checks he had deposited at a bank. The sentencing memorandum said that he had posed as a doctor to increase his credibility with bank officials. In 1991, he pled guilty to credit-card fraud in Boston federal district court. Among his misdeeds in the federal case, he misappropriated for his own use the credit-card numbers of customers of the memory-improvement courses that he offered at the time. (Barrett 2004)

In the credit card swindle, he defrauded American Express out of $122,735.68. He also swindled about five grand from several banks, including Chemical and Citibank. The Smoking Gun has posted a copy of the indictment.".

I obviously thought, that anyone who may be looking into this matter, would find this specific information highly helpful.

I recieved this same letter on October 17, 2006 for the free membership booklet. I received it very quickly and began to read it. It seems to me the same person is writing the same story, just a different circumstance. I am a christian and I know God have the power to do anything. I did not sent the $139.95 for the 1000 page book that will change your life even if your mate is cheating. I have decided to stay with the Good Book The Bible.

:!:  I received the letter from this so called secert society. Not only do I find it a little creepy and would love to know how jerks like that get our names and addresses (makes me wonder what other personal information these aweful people can get their hands on), I instantly knew it was a scam and quite funny. Not only, as a person above mentioned, did this secret person sign their name (whatever-that's probably phoney too) but MY letter is post dated for October 20'th...the letter date in the corner was dated October 21'st. That's some real magic there. On top of that, they wanted a response by no later than October 27'th. Well, jeeze! I didn't get the scam letter till October 30'th. Guess I'll have to channel my "super secretive powers" to go back in time and get the letter so I can get it to them before the 27'th. Thanks but no thanks-I like my life just as it is. I hope this aweful person is stopped.

There is a 90day refund policy. So if a person orders the book they need to return it if they're not happy.

Does anyone want to sell me their Nouveau Tech manuscript? If so, how much will you ask for?
I will provide contact information if you are willing to sell and an agreement is reached.

I received a letter. I am not superstitious. However we were born and came out of a womans womb. Is that a Miracle? We went to the Moon, is that Witch Craft?
You people make up such silly stories. No wonder you sound like a bunch sleep walking zombies from "red neck heaven".I'm buying my book. There's an old saying, "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained". I've done the Sciencetology, the Landmark Forum, now I'll do this. Why? Because it Works!
In a year I will look on this site and see if you people are still complaining and compare to where I am and where you are give you a report.

Yep I got it my self. I am an accomplished musician and it really sounded like they knew Me. I sent in the reply but haven't gotten anything yet. Once they send me the book, if they ask for money that will be the last they hear of me. All other transmissions will hit the can at the light speed of a 64th note!

Hi all,

I haven't ordered anyone's book, prefer the library. The weird thing is it was mailed to my current address with my maiden name. I have been married for over 13 years and never lived at this new address with the former name - so this was quite perplexing to me. How did they get to me -- the only paper trail to my knowledge would be the "credit bureau".

Think about it.

I just receieved this Nouveau Letter and was asked to mail it back by Dec 1. Because it was 8 pages long, it took me time to find time to read it. I knew it was a scam but felt like reading it anyway. And it was free. After reading it, I said to myself that I did not want to be that rich, so I threw it away (that was after going into the internet reading about the scams). Just another one of those nice GET RICH QUICK scams. Thanks but no thanks. I think I will just have my son sell his pink lemonade on the corner, that will for sure get more money.

Well, I toorecieved this strange letter, but I did not order the book, nor have I ever had any intention too. As soon as the name Kevin appeared in the letter, I knew that was Mr. Trudeau, after I recently seen that he was banned from infomercials.

I received the letter in the mail yesterday and knew immediatley it was a scam.I got on the internet this morning and found a lot of people have received this letter. I have found several web sites with forums and information on this subject. It is a waste of time, money, and effort. I am sending this in to the FBI's scam alert program.

yes indeed I too ecieved this letter as well as many others, all I can say is be wise and discerning and know that Jahova God is the only one who can give you true riches beyond your imagination and that he has created a perfect match just for you, seek the lord God in heaven before all things and everything you need will be yours forever not just temporary. All the other stuff are distractions from your true purpose. I thank you all for your confirming comments. I know the Lord is watching over and guiding us or none of us would be here trying to hear God. So keep your faith in the Lord above and remember he is your first and everlasting love. I challenage you all to fast a day or two and pray, seek out the Lord God in heaven and read his word, there you will find all the answers you need. I figure we spent so much time reading the Nouveau Tech temptation we need to feed on the bread of life not lies. Thanks for reading. I leave with these words no matter where you are or what is happening know that God sees it all and is the true and fair judge. Take care and remember to pray. Love you in christ

I have to admit it did appeal to that 'side' of me that would hope for all that they claim to produce.
Unfortunately, who wouldn't want succes?
If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is, right?
I threw the letter away.

yeah, I received the same "secret letter" about the nouveau tech society. It was so crazy. I could help but laugh the whole time I was reading it. They're either some kind of weird cult, or it's just another lame scam. Hopefully no one has been gullible enough to fall for it.

I too received the letter in December and I sent for the free packet. I was thinking I would like to live that way. After reading the orientation book (should have spent that time reading the Bible  ) from cover to cover, I decided to look them up on the internet. The very unfortunate thing about the scam is they are attacking the existence of God. Those of us not so strong in our faith will be deceive. God gave us free will, but I will pray that you make the right choice!

I too got one of these supposed scam letters. That's why I'm here. i see alot of responses from those who have not fallen for the scam. Is there anyone out there who has actually purchased and read the book?

I'm sure there is some stool who will claim yes and proceed to expound on this glorious tome. But what if it were true. I haven't been able to find anything that really truly says it is, or it isn't. Sure I think it's a scam too. But millions of bloggers reporting on the scam of the thing doesn't bring to light anything. If there is anyone who fell for the 'scam' and read the book, they could reveal all the 'truths to all of us. Scan it, post it and let the world draw it's own conclusion, experience the so called benefits and secrets, and we'll all be rich, good looking, in love and great gamblers! And not just a bunch or rotten letches blogging about scams. (now I'm one) Anyone got the "real" truth?

I recieved one of these letters and was actually drawn in by it. I sent off for the "free secret" only to recieve a booklet and an order form for a book costing around $130. The funny thing was, as I read through the booklet I noticed that none of the supposed society memories who were giving testimonies had to pay for this secret themselves, so I immediately decided it was a scam and got on the computer to see what I could come up with. The only thing I found were all these sites claiming that it was a scam. I'm glad I didn't spend my hard earned money.

I was yet another interested Aussie skeptic and sent for the freebie - but was then concerned at the asking for money. A true good psychic would only ask for a donation, if any, and to be determined by the sender. JNK - I am interested to see what the scam is about when you get the book? I will come back to this site for, hopefully, the juice. Just as well I checked the internet.
