I was just sent a letter asking to join a secret "Nouveau Tech" society. I'm not going to do it - the letter reeks of a scam.

However, I just was wondering if anyone else has gotten this kind of letter - it is kind of creepy.

Hi JIM-Just today(7/27), I got got the letter from NOUVEAU asking me to join their secret society club,or "whatever" they are? I`venever heard of it before? I`t was kind of real weird to me as well-

I,too, received this letter. Wow!! I could be rich, beautiful, and a size 0 by their promises. I wrote on their letter the following: "You are scan artistsm butt nuggets. My name will be removed. I pity the next idiot you contact. I am following up on this doo doo!!!"

I was at the library the other day when this young, rather annoying skinny Hispanic guy started talking to me about this society. I will admit, I will sometimes open my mouth to strangers and talk about things that shouldn't be discussed: Politics, religion, and old girlfriends.

I was polite and agreed with some of the basic things he said about the society. Sometimes a guy needs to be agreeable just to keep the glazed crazy eye from a stranger in check.

He wanted me to decode the book for him. I was like, "What the heck are you talking about." I will not waste my time decoding a monster of a book that I have no interest in reading. You bought the book, you decode it. There are other books out there that I would rather spend my time decoding than this one.

The guy could not even pronounce the society. It sounds like--noo-VOH. He said Nova.

He then went on and on about mind control and how the government and religion does this, does that, and screws people over, yadaydayda. There are plenty of cheap books out there that will tell you that. Big deal.

Paying over a hundred dollars for a book that isn't required reading for a college course is straight out stupid. The next day he started in on me again, asking me for money. That is when my blood pressure rose ten points. I asked him why should I give him money? Is this book some kind of busines opportunity? He was so incredibly cryptic in what he replied back that I had to tell him to keep his distance from me. He said, "No, No, No. It is something else." I said, "What is it then?" After having a similiar variation of this conversation with him, I gave up. What a sad person he is.

The problem with scams like this one is that sometimes they will screw up people who are looking for hope. They may be harmless to most people, but to a dumb ass like this guy, life can become even more crippled.

My letter from John Finn, was too funny for words. I honestly could not get to the end I was laughing than much. How could you keep anything so funny a secret!

I have rarely seen such a piece of obsequious writing of this magnitude. Mr Finn must be a sychophant of biblical proportions. Charles Dickens would be mortified to learn that someone has, since his death, developed a character even more hideous than Uriah Heap!! A feat once thought impossible.

Mr Fine is not Uriah Heap but he is certainly a heap of something.

I just got the letter on 8-8-06. Everything that all been saying is all true. I mailed the form and faxed it, I am not buying something that was for nothing that was just a lie. I have copied this "Invitation Form" from John Finn, and will send to the FBI so they could bust these people. I knew everything they said was good to be true, I discern everything I hear or receive whether is true or false.

I knew this was a scam but, sent the letter back anyway to see what it was since it was free anyway. I won't be dumb enough though to send them money for anything. I feel sorry for any of you "special" people that sent them money. Yeah, I'm sure some secret society found my profile some how and thougth I had some kind of gift that only a few people in the world have. Everybody has a gift but, it takes time to figure it out. We don't need some group of strangers to tell us.

Hahahaha!! I'm glad the internet is here for me to check things out. I got the letter on 8-8-2006. First of all, I wonder how they got my info. I never purchased any book or anything. What makes it even more wierd is that he used my nickname other than my real name. Ly is my nickname. I'm very uncomfortable about this. I have no idea how he could know my nickname. Anyways, as soon as I finished the letter...BAM internet time and I'm glad I found this place. Now I don't have to waste my time sending the letter back. The information super highway... gotta love it.

You have to be very gullible to beleive such trash. I to ot the letter and went online even before I finished it. I couldn't beleive such a thing existed but checked it out anyway. Then I was ashamed that I even took the time to look it up. Be ware my freinds, such things do not exist nor is there a Easter Bunny or a Tooth Fairy.

We do not Brain wash, try to convert, or tear down other religions!!!! we do not "Rule Over" our fellow people nor do we consider ourselves "Better Than". To any one who has been hurt or missled by those people, my sincere sympathy and regrets. Their crud makes everyone look bad. Please seek help from your local support may it be your church, therapist, rabi, mosque, pastor etc. Be strong in your own faith what ever it is, quit looking for easy answers.. there are none.

i to have been sent this letter but i have developed an open-mind which has enabled me not to disregard such claims at first thought. i have read the pages and pages on this subject of being a scam. Due to knowledge i have gained i believe every human travelling this journey known to us as life has a untapped, unlimited potential to achieve all desires, wants needs etc. The mind is mans greatest asset greter than any wealth or love in the outside-world we see and live in. Because of day2day stresses people consiously think in a way of emotion rather than reason. what im getting at is nothing is to good to be true if you sincerely BELIEVE it! Bless your souls......................and THINK thought is what realeases us

If you read their orientation Booklet? Everyone in their stories were given the book of 1000 secrets! And then you get to the point where they want you to order the 1000 secrets for a mere $139.99? The orientation booklet did not say the individuals in the stories were charged for the book of 1000 secrets!

I too have received the same letter & have been receiving the same letter for the last 2 years. I out of curiosity sent in the form within the short time frame, only to find out I needed to sent them $140 for the special book. I threw it out without reading the small free book they sent me knowing it was all a scam. It was all a waste of time! I pretty much expected it to end up the way it did. :? What is funny is that they keep sending me the same letter almost every other month. :x It gets annoying after a while! It's like they think if they keep sending me this letter that I will give in! As for how they get our names/addresses. I was unlucky enough to send in money to a work from home book. In it it gives addresses to different places that you can apply to work for. It also gives you a company that for a fee will send you a list of names, with addresses that you can send info for your business. It's really cheap ex.-$50 for 500 names, $100 for 1000 names, etc! They will also send you self stick labels with the names for a small additional cost. They get our info everytime you subscribe to a magazine, put info online to receive a comp. info, or to get a quote for insurance, go to a store & sign up for their mailing list for coupons (ex. bed, bath, beyond,& Lowes). Even when you signed up for your Kroger card, you are now on a mailing list! THAT is how they get our names. Just thought I'd let everyone know. 8) Also, as everyone has said, dont waste your time on this so called society, it's just another scam!

I bought the book Natural Cures, its interesting to read. I too, received a letter from NTS and I was skeptical about it. I'm glad I found your website and it made me realize that everyone wants better things and that some are willing to do anything for a "better life" and sometimes they fall victims to these scam artists, I feel badly for those who loose their hard earn money to these people. I'm just glad that I didn't fall for it, I listened to my gut feeling and it was telling me that something wasn't right. I just want to say to all of you who are not happy with their current situation and you happen to come across with these types of scams, take caution, if its too good to be true than it probably is. Also take a good look of your life you might realize that your life is not that bad, some poor soul could be worse of then you.

yeah, I ordered Kevin Trudeau's book that's how I received this letter about NTS. It was time sensitive too, they wanted me to respond asap because of a cycle thing, I don't know, that letter was too long for me to read and it lost me. Needless to say, I didn't reply and to me it felt like a scam.

I'm special!!! This was Neo-Tech many years ago they sent similar mailings promising power, love, money ..... Everything we already have in our own ways, but anybody that is selling something wants you to believe you need more of whatever they are selling. I have learned over the years - when somebody is telling you not to tell anyone else it is not a good thing.

I have been charged 35.00 froma TV scam for his books. Its such a shame that no one has put a stop to it. I wish I had researched this out before getting involved. THe telephone numbers are a fake and the email they give you to get help is a fake. If anyone knows how to get help with getting your money back, I sure would appreciate it. BJ Morris

I got the "free" invitation to be a member in the NT Society, because of my very special traits. They were quite surprised over my abilities. I sent a fax and accepted. Today the next letter arrived. They had found that I had far more wonderful gifts than they had found out before. In fact, I was so very special that I simply must join the society. The next book was to be mine, not for it????s full worth, $50000, but for a mere $150, the direct costs for printing and handling. Very flattering! No, there will be no more contacts with the Society, even if my profile was one of the most exciting, that they had ever encountered. Think of the great sacrifice I????m making! I will not even try to read through all the printed matter, that they sent me. I think that they got my address from the TIME Magazine, who is using the same "herr" prefix instead of "Mr" on the address label. Nobody else does. Anyhow, beware of these crooks, they don????t want you, they only want your money and something to laugh about.
Greetings / Mats

I received the actual orientation booklet in a Kevin Trudeau newsletter. I sent away for the book, since I was already looking for a book or set of books on the occult in the $200 price range to slap the Watchtower in the face. The book cost me $139.
When I got it, I read the subheadings. There is nothing mystical about it. It simply explains Aristotle and Socrates, and more modern philosophies and integrates them into real life. The book had a section on how to organize one's day for more productivity, and the true source of most personal problems. Most failure is due to dishonesty and/or laziness, of which I too have the usual measure of. They don't have long lists of rules, because they merely want people to think for themselves. The strict deadlines are necessary to weed out any who might put the letter on the "Someday" file--a sign of the very laziness that dooms so many to fail today.
After I got the book, I was asked to send in a reservation for two more volumes. These sell for $100 apiece, and each one builds on the material learned from its predecessor. After one completes the third volume, one qualifies as a member. The "meetings", on the Internet, are free for 12 months. After that, you have to pay dues. But, then again other organizations like labor unions charge dues and initiation fees. This is not a ripoff--if you don't like it, you simply don't pay your dues or reply to the letter when it shows up. Yes, these letters are recyclable in most communities.
I have seen many of the negative comments. Most are from people who have barely opened the book and read a few pages, and prejudged it. These people can and should return it within 90 days for a refund. And the letter may smell like a scam, largely because so many offers that are true scams require quick decisions. But if people would only give it a fair chance and make a good-faith effort to apply just some of the information, they might get some benefit and not think of it as a scam, cult, or other ripoff. This is NOT a scam or ripoff--in fact, the books actually encourage independent thinking. The only losers are those who are too lazy to act, and envy those who do act and reap the benefits.
In a true cult, members are tricked into joining an organization. They use mind control or brainwashing to make the victim feel that the rest of the world is wicked and cut them off from the world. Then they hit the victim with a bunch of rules, and threaten to cut off association with those who are now their only friends. Questioning the cult is forbidden, as is reading material that is critical of it or association with anyone who is an ex-member. If Neo-Tech was like that, then Kevin Trudeau would not be allowed to send orientation booklets with his newsletters, and people would be required to dispose of his books. I have not seen any of this in Neo-Tech. Nor have I seen any bans on reading critical literature (some of which is encouraged on the official site). And I have seen no cases where someone has been a member for several years, who has sincerely tried to do the right thing while a member, who has left because of wrongdoing within the organization and reported poor treatment within the organization. It has been people who got the letter and threw it out, or who got the book and read a few pages and couldn't get past the atheist stand and threw it out. Perhaps, these people should honestly examine the literature, and the nature of most of the complaints. Maybe then they will see the true nature of the literature and benefit some from it.

I hear a lot of you saying it is a scam, but has anyone actually bought the book and read it? If it is cheaper somewhere else, could you tell me the name of it and how to get it? I read some of their articles on their website and found a lot of sound business advice. I didn't see anything there about religion, or devils, or anything else strange. Sometimes, people jump to conclusions without having facts. And there are always a few people willing to go on a modern day witch hunt. A lot of innocent people got killed during the burning times. If God is so strong in your life and your walk with Him is truely personal, why do you give the Devil so much power? Personally, I am curious about the book, but I don't have $135 to pay for it. The fact that they put a time limit on acquiring it is what is making me skeptical.

Yes this is the second time I have received their letter ... the first time I did respond for the "free" offer ... it wanted $139 for a book ... thought that was strange since I was supposed to be "free" ... obviously it wasn't so I just let it go ... this time I just received it again today and decided to see if there was any entries about it on Ripoffreport.com ... found 170 entries ... mostly those believing it to be a scam. I would suggest you check that above website out to assist in making your final judgement. I for one will not be wasting any more time on them. They seem very deceptive ... and another thing that bothered me is that I just felt that their "special powers and knowledge" have nothing to do with God ... several people expounded on that issue as well.

I understand how unsuspecting consumers can get scammed by these losers. They write a convincing letter...if it were true. Because they repeatedly state that I am special, I want to believe it. However, just doing a short search on the name shows me that I'm not the only one who was approached about their offer. I will be submitting this "Society" will be put to rest...6 feet under where they belong! I'm glad people took the time to write.

I received this letter 10/23/06. I knew right away this was a scam. It didn't ask for any personal info, that was what was unusual. But to be able to instantly know what others think and do??? (ha, ha) this must be a joke right. Mine was signed by a Kirsten Hart and address from Grove City, OH and a return letter to Dover, Delaware. Thanks for having this sight for me to check them out
