I was just sent a letter asking to join a secret "Nouveau Tech" society. I'm not going to do it - the letter reeks of a scam.

However, I just was wondering if anyone else has gotten this kind of letter - it is kind of creepy.

Thanks so much to all of you who have posted comments on "The Secret Society" I too was almost sucked in until I thought to check the web....man, am I glad I did. Do these people have nothing better to do than scam honest, hardworking people? They make me sick!! And the invitation letter was from Kevin Trudeau, whom I have high regards for. Should I still feel that way about him after purchasing all of his books?

I got this letter 4 years ago, send it in and got my 56 page ad book, he then asked me to sent him $100.00, for the real complete book to get rich. I decided not to make him rich. I got this letter again 4 years latter.

Hey guys and gals....I just got my letter a few minutes ago and guess what, "They" discovered what I knew all along....I am "special"....but not in the terms of what seems to be promoted in the news letter. Jesus Christ is my Salvation, and I have the thing most precious in my life, PEACE OF MIND and the Love of my life, "Waldo" for thirty eight years and I adore my children and love the work I do with special needs people. UHMMMMM...This secret society claims that I am blessed but those around me don't know this yet....OF COURSE THOSE AROUND ME KNOW I'M BLESSED...GRIEF THE SOCIETY MISSED SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT. So I guess they don't know me as well as they thought. Yep, that inward Spirit, called the Holy Spirit lets me know whats going on around me and even forwarns me about coming events when needed. The Bible, which is not a SECRET BOOK and is for everyone who wants it, tells me to be aware of sheep in wolves clothing and I don't believe in LUCK....and I don't want to be associated with mysticism or the occult. I do believe God still heals today and the Lord Jesus Christ has warned us about these last day extravagansa's of promises....and I believe this group is aiming for those poor souls whom have low self esteem and desparately need someone to tell them they are special. Well they are speical and Jesus is still reaching out for them because he died for them....and each of you who are reading this are special, not because some one sent you a letter claiming all the promises to you....Look to Christ and the promises he made to you and let him add wonderful things into your life. God chooses the weak things to confound the wise. I am truely sorry that Kevin T.has put his name to this....Unless somehow someone has added his picture to this to give it credibility.....as for the letter....RUNNNNNNNNNN as fast as you can to the nearest trash can! God loves you, not as a self proclaimed "secret" "society!" OOPS, I just remembered...I was suppose to keep this letter and invitation a secret. I guess they miss read my profile after all.....By the way, my first feelings reading this letter was laughter and the more I read the more gut wreching discust I began to feel. Its like an invisible net cast out to capture those whom wish to feel special,I feel so sorry for them or reach into the dept of human natures most basic nature, "greed". How sad!

I just got my letter today, NOV. 5th. I laughted at the start and found it discusting soon after. I didn't find it flattering at all.....It is an insult to think that people think we are such dummies that if they say YOUR SPECIAL and FREE enough times that we will fall for tricks....Grief! Thank God for internet info....Thanks guys! I really hope Kevin T. is not a part of promoting this....Is it possible his picture has been added without his knowlege?

I received the same letter and thought I'd respond until I saw how much they wanted me to pay.

If they were turly filthy rich like the letter says, then why wouldn't they allow theie "hand picked" new members just pay pennys for the information, or just send it for free?

There is a very famous "John Finn" Medal of Honor recipient from WWII ... not sure if that's him(?).

Not sending my letter back ... but of course I was reading it at 10 p.m. the night it was due to be post marked ... rats! ... jk ;)

I received my 4th letter today saying this is the last, but,get this, it was the same as the first offering me the 56 page book as they did at first and I sent for it because it was free. I did not order the l34.00 deal. I thought this was interesting. so....this very prestigous secret society who, is so organized etc., has goofed and sent me the first letter again asking me to get the free book again. o well, I do not get it, but it does apeal to the curosity side to individuals as well as other base desires. Thanks for the Web Site.

a stupid w/ no doubt but it sure does ignites one's curiosity..I got the letter 2 days ago shortly after ordering the Natural cures book..Many interesting mistakes and contradictions found in the letter..one of which the writer states that she's anonymous but at then signs her name "Kristine something" at the end of it..Just like the natural cures book, you by it for less than $30 then it tells you to go online to get the censored info. which u have to pay for of course..Stop the scam and pass the word around..if the letter says you're so special, know that your not the only special one obviously which makes u not that special really..!

hey nobody mentioned the Las Vegas trip. i got mine in the mail yesterday. got off work and decided to read it. you know what's even funnier it so called states his name as "Kevin;" even though it constantly said no name being mention. quite unthoughtful. the other funny thing is; if kevin was stated in the letter as him being the one who wrote the letter how come John Finn was the one who signed the letter off. hahaha crazy sack of fully-integrated honesty (truth). yeah right go to these sites and see what the letters are filled with.

WOW! I am special too! I also received a letter. No company name on it but it did have an enclosed letter "from the desk of Kevin Tradeau" with his pic on it. It advises you to please read the special message regarding a secret society manuscript. I read the letter then searched for info on the internet. To MY SURPRISE.....THERE WAS PLENTY TO SAY ABOUT KEVIN TRADEAU! WOW....this really is disappointing! I just ordered the cure all book a few weeks ago but have not received it yet. Hope it is not disappointing as well.

I have recieved many letters from the Nouveau Tech Secret Society. It may be a scam to get $$, but so is Kevin Trudeau!!! I ordered his book for free and was unknowingly entered into many other "pools." Other marketers that used my card and #'s to order services that I never recieved or had any knowledge that I could recieve them. Don't get me wrong the book is good, but I thought it would have Natural Cures in it... The NTC at least sent me a book that would uplift my spirits and send me on my way to accomplishing my dreams...

 Concerned reader

PS. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the NTS scam either. It is still a scam, but at least I knew what I was getting into....

YEP!! I recieved one from Novus Tech ( I think it read).something about if I would 'paly' an accountant, for a person/comapny, from overseas, because they can't transfer funds here.....something like that. According to the letter, I would make a % of this money...whatever it may have been.

i was just curious if anybody did send the $139.95 for the second installment of the secret society's 1000 page book. and actually recieved anything. i got the scam letter too and started searching the net. i won't be sending them anything either. just wondering what if anything you get for $139.95! what a joke! thanx all the good scam info too i might have been curious enough to waste my money otherwise.

I did actually buy the books and they are very interesting I felt. I felt for the money and the amount of reading material you get it was not actually a scam, although I do not agree with their philophies or beliefs, the books were insightful and there is something to be learned in them that can help you in the future.

Well, I didn't look online first so off went my $139.95 for a thick paperback book. The Secret Society book is in part a do-it-yourself business starter kit and has nothing to do with the original prospectus. It also denies God in any form. It promotes selfish love and the negativity goes on and on. It said that my $ would be refunded with the books return. I sent it back last week. I'm still waiting. I'm sorry I didn't look here first.

This is what I can't stand about people and contradiction. Like the contradictions in the J.F.(Just Foolish) letter. First, to tell me that you can't tell me your name, and then to say someone called you Kevin. The secret society must be mentally retarded for allowing a schizo join to their "elite." Second, the only Kevin that's big late night is the one who made up that confusing book of natural cures. The same one who even the government threw in jail for 2 years. A secret society would not send out invites that easily as an invite to your friend's B-Day party. Third, The fact of the matter is these elite people are not "special". They're called special to subjogate power and I believe so they can feel "God-like". The only difference is they have more money and power.(But at what price?) We can acquire the same. There is no secret of success to becoming rich. You either work your butt off, or you inherit it through a person who has worked their butt off! I'm not hating on the rich, because then I'll be contradicting my desire. All I'm saying is we are all special. If God's no respect of person,(if you choose to believe) then how can we say who's higher and lower? Unfortunately, the only God these people serve, these so-called elite, is G.old O.il and D.omination. In any secret society, you have to be recommended by the person IN PERSON. And in some cases, it's a bloodline thing. And in some cases, you find them, they don't look for you. But I will give them credit on one thing: despite our differences in America, one thing we can relate to is money. That's why they kept emphasizing on that fact. Who would'nt want to wake up in a debt-free world, huh? I don't know which one is worse:getting robbed mentally or physically. While both are bad, these scam artists need to get what's coming to them ASAP! If I'm wrong, may I fall on my sword for my belief.

I have all 3 books. It is so weird how people see what they want. The books are right on and they help you understand a very fake unjust world and how to see past that and live a happy, rich life. They never say hey we will make money for you.It is another way of thinking to help open your mind so you can be what you dream.People pay thousands of dollars for self help books and classes....whats the difference??Well These work!

This is crazy--trying to think of the fastest way to get this to the attorney general!
I'm thinking that my special gift is that God gave me enough common sense to check this out. The funniest thing is that somewhere somewhere in the letter the person supposedly writing says that they are now one of the anonymous members and then they sign there name as Kirsten Hart?!?! Go figure!!!

I ordered the Natural Cures book recently, mostly out of curiosity. Now I've received John Finn's invitation to join the "Secret Society".

My guess is that the Special Trait they are looking for is GULLABILITY!

Glad I did a little research on the NET about this.

As to the connection to Hugh Downs' book, they probably use the same Infomercial answering service, and THEY sell the info to Trudeau's bunch.

I also received the letter encourging me to buy the "Best Kept Secrets Book". I admit it was inviting at first being that I had alot on my plate at the time. Finances and wanting more out of life. I decided to think about the truthfulness in the letter for a couple of days before making the purchase. Out of nowhere the next day when I was driving home from work my inner-sprit spoke to me saying that "anything worth recieving would be awarded by God." And that this letter was trying to get me to sell my soul for fortune and fame. So then I decided not to participate. Then today I came across this message board of other people who recieved the same letter. And it seemed weird that to be an secrect that many people had heard about this "opportunity". I'm glad that I have God watching over me to keep my safe from harm. I feel sorry for others that didn't get the memo yet.

How cool would it be if I could think of a great scam like this to gey peoples money and provide a worthless piece of readin material to them! Wait. I forgot, I am not evil. I guess I cannot do this. hehehe. Of course if I did, I would write a much better letter with far fewer logic errors!

I received the letter, was skeptical but ordered for it anyways thinking that I can return it once I receive it. I can always go to the credit card company and give them the return receipt to prove that it went back. If they do not return money by policy, then I think the law would have already caught up to it . . . . Will see, I'm curious to see what the books contents are . . .

I urge anyone who has received this letter to discard it immediately. Any letter that speaks of "God or a higher power" reeks of the plans of the devil. WE are in the evil days now, satan knows his time is coming to an end and he is now trying every device to deceive the world. If we do not know the word of God for ourselves we will be carried away with every wind and doctrine. There is no other higher power than God, himself. There is no God like Jehovah. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is the Supreme God, King of kings and Lord of Lords. Don't be deceived by the sweet words. Remember the devil is not to be underestimated. He is very tricky and slick. He knows us - our fears, weaknesses, and he will try to capitalize on these things. James 4:7 says to RESIST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. Read the word of God for yourselves and you will see that everything that is going on around us now is prophecied in the Bible. We are in the last days Read the Free Word of God - II Timothy 3 tells us what is going on now
When you see these signs, look up for our redemption draweth nigh.

Let us be prayerful and watchful
God Bless you!

This is really just great. It's amazing that this many people have been saved from a scam just by taking a few seconds to do some research. I have mixed feelings in that, while I think it's sad that there are people like this kevin trudeau who would con innocent strangers, I am also given hope by the fact that there are so many people who spread the information about it online to help others avoid being conned.

After stumbling on this post, I did some more research... this whole thing looks like a bunch of garbage.

I, too, received this letter. It was a long letter, and I read it to the end (tho' I wasn't even sure why I was reading it). First, they got my name wrong. The letter repeatedly says, "you this" and "you that", but then deep in the letter, says "SOME of you may feel..." Are they really going to teach me how to "control anyone." Really? I can control people? Are they going to make me a supreme being? The letter also states, "my lawyer will not let me reveal my name," but then is signed John Finn. What's that about? I'll tell you what it's about... it's about duping people. Sorry, didn't get me. ;-)
