Unauthorized credit card chaege Firstsource Advantage LLC

I found an unauthorized charge on my new Capital One 1.5 cash back card from Firstsource Advantage LLC marked 'merchandise'. I have one paid off car loan and paid in full closed credit card from Capital One and opened a new card recently.
I have never gotten a letter or phone call from this company but today found a 395.23 charge that I did not authorize on my new card. I called this company and finally got through to leave a message but received no call back
I contacted Capital One and filed a dispute. They reversed the charge and started an investigation.
Can anyone tell me how this happens? How did they get my card number? it is a new card and I used it and paid the balance as soon as it posted so knew something was wrong when I reviewed the statement.

You have taken the right step. Unfortunately, most people don't review their statements. And, thus they fail to recognize unauthorized charges early.
Tough to say how they got your credit card number. Wait till the investigation gets finished.
