I have not dealt with Navy Federal but I am in the midst of dealing with Pentagon Federal CU and they will not budge from 85% settlement. I read somewhere that the "federal" CU's are the hardest to deal with? Pentagon has been very professional and has presented me an array of options to get my account current and get the balance paid off. However, the settlement offer has not changed since day one and I am at about 150 days with them.
