Capital One anyone?

On their website, they claim my account meets their guidlines for legal action. They also claim it's only 3 months past due...Not sure where they get that math from, as by mine it's more like 4-5... Anyway they've refered it Global Credit, who really seems to just want to keep me on the Capital One treadmill. WHY?! They rarely if ever call, and when they do, it's calling my cell phone not the home. Usually I have to call them. This doesn't sound right...
I'm offering reduced interest repayment plans and lump sum settlements every time I call them. It's like they don't care. I just typed out a letter offering half, and I'm cc'ing Capital One.
Any similar experiences here. How do folks work with Capital One? I've had good success with GE Money bank (3 accounts negotiated) Chase (2 accounts negotiated) and Target Visa (1 account).

I dealt with Capital One a few years ago and they were very hard to deal with. They passed my account to a debt collecting law firm that was very sue happy. My balance was around $700 and I was sending payments of $105 a month and they still tried to get a judgement on me. I ended up filing BK the day before I was supposed to go to court and boy I was so happy to call that law firm and give my filing number, they were ticked off.
I have been tempted to pay a local law office to deal with them.
I have been tempted to pay a local law office to deal with them. Is Capital One more willing to work with a law office than a consumer? If so, maybe i go that route...
