Help reading my credit Reports
Date: Fri, 09/18/2009 - 16:12
Hi all,
I am kind of new to this forum so please be nice :)
I am in the process of cleaning up my credit and for the life of me, I don't understand the credit reports. EX shows my accounts (active and Closed) using all but the last 4 digits of the acct. number and TU does the same. EQ uses nothing but the last 4 of the account number and it has different information than the other 2. Or the acct. numbers are something like that.
I understand that you need to check your reports but it doesn't really help me if I don't understand what I am looking at. Is there somewhere that can explain what I am looking at and what I am looking for?
I have multiple CO form Cap1, HSBC, and now LVNV Funding. How do I know if they are reporting the DOLA correctly or what do I look at to see.
I am lost as to what should and shouldn't be there and what to look for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:p
