Wage Garnishment in NJ??

Does anyone know if credit card companies can garnish your wages in New Jersey? I know wages can be garnished for child support and I.R.S.
I am thinking of pulling out of the debit management program because it's going so slowly and the interest rates are still too high. At the rate I'm going, I'm paying $1,100 a month and will continue for the next 3 years.
I'm just worried that my wages can be garnished.

Just make sure you get that in writing BEFORE you give them ANY money. Also, did you receive a letter of collection from this company via the mail? Just so you know, they need a court order first before they can garnish your wages.
