Called VK regarding debt with Dell. They offered excellent settlement terms, were very pleasant, gave me plenty of time to make up my mind, and said they would provide terms in writing before they asked me to agree to anything.

The problem: They said they could only except credit card or check but not money order b/c they needed payment or funds authentication or some such nonsense. I would love to settle this for the amount they offered (also I would make sure Dell couldn't charge off the rest before I paid).

I wouldn't have too much of a prob paying with a cc and disputing it via use of the written terms if they attempt to overcharge (I will NEVER give them my banking info).

Any thoughts?
