Been working the cycle and it's been shortly under a month since I closed my account. I've sent my letters, some of the pdl's have been quiet, some have been a real big pain in my behind. The thing is I am going to pay them back but they want it ALL NOW. I don't have it all now as I am trying to catch up on my most important bills and these guys are at the bottom of the list. Is it acceptable to just send them what I can, when I can? None of them have been willing to work out arrangements with me, they just demand payment in full which is not feasible at this point. How did you guys do it?

Did you read the thread on how to deal with illegal lenders, all of your questions are answered in that thread. Anyway, rent, utilities and food come first, whatever is left is what the pdl's get. And you do realize you only need to pay back what your originally borrowed, less whatever you have already paid them? Request and address from these lenders, tell them you will send payments to a physical address ONLY (I suggest money orders), send them at your leisure because it's on YOUR terms now. If they say they won't accept it, then simply tell them, no address, no payments, if they still refuse then that's their problem, not yours.

So Shazz, if I get an address and I send them a money order for whatever amt I can and they don't accept it, what happens? I was afraid that I would send it in and they would just throw it away and that is money gone, ya know. Sounds stupid, I guess but I've never dealt with these types of places before.

The chances are slim that they will give you an address, but if they do, I'm pretty sure they will cash it, no one has ever said otherwise that I know of in this forum. Quite honestly, there isn't anything they can do to you besides threaten and harass you, the best way to handle that is not to respond, hang up immediately.
