At the beginning of the year I received a letter from a collection's agency stating that they were now in control of my NJ Class loan and I owed them $26k immediately. I am currently unemployed and have been since graduation and have no means to pay any of this back at all. My mother was a co-signer but she has been out on permanent disability for years and has a much lower income then when we filed for the loans. I contacted the agency and they said that I would need to pay the back interest asap which is about $1k and its been 2 months so higher now.

Hello, I've recieved so much help from this forums and since I've started coming here since late january I've cut my PDL debt in half by getting rid of my illegal payday loan debt, however now I am faced with dealing with the only 2 outstanding PDL I have left which are from Ace Cash Express (350) and Check N Go (350) both these companies are legal and lisenced in the state of Ohio, however if I continue to pay the finance charges each pay period I'm going to lose my home, whats the best way to deal with them?

I received a call on my cell phone from a private number a few days ago from someone by the name of Elliot Solomon, threatening to serve me with a letter to appear in court and that I need to be at home at 2pm the following day with a valid ID to sign for the letter. He left the number of 1-877-350-4020 and a seven digit case number. I called the number back because of course I was scared and startled. The automated system stated that the company was National Check Recovery Services. I was connected to a lady by the name of Diane at ext 111.

Okay, so I've gotten myself in the same trouble that a lot of you have but I've taken some steps to get my life back thanks to the information on this forum. I currently have 5 online payday loans and I'm Illinois. As far as I can tell, none of them are licensed. Here's the information including original loan amount, renewal payments, etc. Pepper Cash: $500 loan, pay back with interest was $701.50. I've made 2 "renewal" payments for them. One in the amount of $201.25 and another in the amount of $301.25. As far as I am concerned they are paid off.
