My mother is being contacted for a significant student loan debt. They're asking to speak to me and using profane language. She says that I don't live there and gives no further information. What can be done to get the calls to stop? My mother isn't very good with these things. She's elderly and not a native English-speaker. I don't want to do anything directly because I don't want to acknowledge the debt. I left the US eight years ago and have no intention of returning. I haven't made a payment or contacted any creditor in seven years.

hello everyone, i was wondering if someone would have an advice for my situation. here it is. 15 years ago i attended a private expensive undergraduate institution. i could not afford to pay and left it without graduating. i left owing them 28 thousand although i signed a promissory note for only about 4 thousand. somehow they came up with 28 grand. at that time i did not even have a social security number as i was a foreign student. they tried to collect but over the years gave up.

Okay, everything I'm going to discuss is about my husband's credit report, but to make life easy - I'm just going to say "I" rather than ..my husband every time. Please bear with me as I need help with a few different things here. First problem is with LVNV Funding, the bottom feeding scum suckers of the universe! They are attempting to collect on an old First Premier card that's scheduled to die off in Nov 2012. They appeared on my report in 12/2011. I received NOTHING from them, no dunning letters, no phone calls, nothing.

This credit card company was sued by the federal trade commission and had to pay out a large fine. This collection agency/attorneys called and harassed me for days. I mailed a certified letter asking for validation of debit in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 809. Validation of debts [15 USC 1692g]. This giving the company 30 days to respond.

Hi, I live in MO and from what I can find, Kenwood Services is not a legal lender in MO. I borrowed $300 and have paid them $280.00. I sent in the letters stating that they are illegal in MO and that all I was responsible for was the principal. I also sent in the letters to Revoke ACH and Voluntary Wage Assignment. I told them I would pay the $20.00 if they gave me the address to where to send it. They did keep trying to ACH the money from my bank account but I closed it. So, now I got a letter from NCA saying that they purchased the Kenwood Account and that I owe $590.00.

I split up with my ex before my child was even born, they finally found him to serve Child support on him 2yrs ago and was ordered to pay. Anyway my daughter is now 4 and he has never paid her any support or even seen her but for the past 3yrs when I tried to file my taxes he has already claimed her. I have already sent all the paperwork proving she lives with me and that a I support her but he somehow did it again last year and I'm scared he will do it again this year. HOW CAN I PUT A STOP TO THIS? He already doesn't pay her any support and. Now he is taking money that is owed to her. PIG!!!

I took out a loan with oneclickcash for 600, paid 180 in 'fees', found out they are illegal, sent off all of the letters, etc. These people keep calling my cell, not leaving a message, calling me at work where I have no choice but to answer the call. This is a daily event, how do I stop the calls? I have told them, I know that they are not legal in my state, and also that they are in violation of a cease and desist letter. They have threatened to call my employer, release personal information, etc. The last couple times they have called I have just hung up the phone.
