I am wondering if First Source is a legit agency. I have endured four or five phone calls a day, the people barely speak english, and they have wanted a financial history. I have requested statements, and haven't recieved any. I will not pay them over the phone. When I last requested one Ishmal, a supposed supervisor, said they would request one and HUNG UP. To me that says that they are not legit.

My husband got a sexual battery charge over 5 years ago and was sued for 'damages, loss of wages, lawyer fees, ect'. He lost the case and owes $450,000 and we have no way over EVER paying this money back. He is being garnished monthly for this. Can we file this out under bankruptcy?

I borrowed $100 and the interest that I had to pay back was $130, but the terms of the loan was that until I call them and tell them to take the whole amt from my acct they will take $30 each time I get paid. I borrowed the money back in July 2011. They are still taking $30 each check and I get paid twice a month, shouldn't they have stopped because now I have paid over $130?

I recently sent EOS-CCA a Cease and Desist letter regarding an old Verizon collection. Question: Once a collector sells an old debt they own to another collector, are they not legally required to remove the collection notice on the three credit bureaus? If so, I will dispute them immediately. Thanks Very Much

My husband and I took out many, many student loans when we were younger and stupid. The amount totals almost $200,000. On all of these loans, they are in my name, and he is the cosigner. Here's the problem. He signed the first few. Anytime after that, he would tell me to just sign his name since he'd read the papers and didn't need to be bothered. He had me sign his name to student loans, mortgage modification paperwork, checks, etc. At the time I thought nothing of it. Now we're going into divorce.

Hi everyone. Thank you for the help in the past. I have question that I am having a difficult time to figure out. in 2010 I finished paying my debt on a default judgement. I sent the OC attorney a letter notifing them that I have made my last payment, please reconsile your accounts. I found that I paid off my debt because all 3 credit reports show a zero balance owed. So the OC says I paid off the debt but the attorney wants to keep me on the hook. One year later I receive a letter of tax garnishment rather than a letter of satisfactory judgement to the courts.

As a part of my credit report clean-up process, I've come across a number of inquiries on my report. A couple might be legit, but most are not. I think they somehow mixed my brother's credit history with mine last year. I've gotten a lot of this straightened out, but not the inquiries. In my experience so far, the credit reporting agencies do not investigate disputed inquiries.

So I got a call from a Leroy Johnson 1-888-225-2760 saying he has sent my bank a suppeona for my bank statements to show my deposits, he said it was for a loan I had with archway, I did have a loan thru them got in a bind and didn't pay it, the man kept calling me all day and including my job, I called him back and asked him to not call my job he got mad and said you are getting served with a summons tomorrow and hung up on me.. the companies name is "national " that's all I could get from them besides them telling me thus is agent si in so or attorney so in so please help!

I have a foreclosure on my credit report which I'd love to have removed. I know the standard response, this stays on your credit report for 7 years, 180 days... But I know there are people who have gotten these removed. I've been trying for about two years, off and on, but without success. I've written disputes to the lender, Wells Fargo. I've disputed with the credit agencies. It always comes back as verified, no change. Has anyone here been successful in getting a foreclosure removed?

I recently took out a payday loan with Advance America for $300. I have already used up the max number of extensions allowed by my state, and now my final payment of $325.00 is due on Jan. 27th. However, I lost my main job just a few days ago and there is absolutely no way that I can pay them $325.00 on Jan. 27th as I'm already struggling to figure out how I can come up with all the rent money I need by Feb. 1st. :( I just spoke to one of their customer service reps via chat and the payment plan she suggested unfortunately doesn't work for me at all.
