Written agreement for settlement not available?

14 years 2 months ago
Hello, I am in the process of settling with Primary Financial Services LLC. We have "agreed" to a settlement but they refuse to do a written agreement. They are telling me that settlement agreements with them are verbal and that it is safe to trust them. This sounds fishy to me but I would like confirmation. I don't feel comfortable with this but I would like some opinions please. Thank-you for reading.

Elastic Credit back....as Mobiloans

14 years 2 months ago
So Elastic Credit was cancelled last year when the partnership with Urban Trust Bank was severed. However, ThinkFinance has brought it back as Mobiloans, offering up to $500 loans. Apparently, it is "a tribal lending entity wholly owned by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana("Tribe"), a federally recognized Indian tribe, operates within the Tribe’s reservation." I have no idea what ownership by an indian tribe means, but it looks and acts just like the Elastic Credit did.

Settle my credit cards and keep my FICO score?

14 years 2 months ago
I am new to the forum. I have a few questions, but first here is the situation. - We are current on everything. We have never missed a payment or had a late payment a day in our lives. We have some nice credit scores as a result, and I'd prefer not to scar them too much if we can help it. - We have 4 credit cards totaling $19,500 with Chase and Citibank. - We cannot pay our bills any longer. This appears to be a permanent situation.

25% fee of EACH account, are you kidding me!?!?

So I called the number on this forum to learn about their program, and spoke to a man with an Indian accent (not to be racist), he described how I would pay $850/mo for <4 years and be completely debt free, on my unsecured debt of >60k.

Is anyone as far deep in debt as this

14 years 2 months ago
Ok, I'm a single person, never married. I have a good job, masters level education and I take home about 4000/mo. I am $67,000 in debt, unsecured, and close to 100k in student loans. I feel like I am so deep there is no way out. I have looked into all my options, including bankruptcy, settlement, and DMP.

Yancey and Murphey threatening judgment

14 years 2 months ago
I received a call today from a Patricia Wilkes from Yancy, Murphy and Associates stating I owe $960 on $500 payday loan that was deposited on 7/19/2009. Two things here..one..I never have had a loan with the company Quickest Cash Advance and I advised her of this. She states that the company can go by many names..??. Second...here's the kicker...the bank account she gave me was an account I held at a previous bank...with an opening date of 12/15/2009. Now how can I have received a deposit on 7/19/09 if the account was not open?

Would this work?

14 years 2 months ago
I have about $170k in Parent Plus loans. Most are FFEL Plus, a couple of Direct Plus and a FFEL consolidated. The loans are all in my name. However, my wife is a school teacher. Could we: 1. do a Federal Direct Consolidation Loan with the loan being in her name, 2. pay under ICR for 120 payments while she remains a teacher or in another qualifying public service job 3.

National Credit Adjusters

14 years 2 months ago
Hello All, I just received a call at work from a Janet at National Credit Adjustors asking for a fax number. I said we don't have a fax. She then asked for me and said she needed to contact my HR department for employment verification. She needs to send paperwork into regards to an Archway Holding Group loan. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about (I completely overpaid on this loan). I e-mailed my hr department and payroll and said not to give any information. Can National Credit Adjustors do anything? Just when I think I'm ahead.... :(
