Hello, I keep receiving calls from Portfolio Recovery Associates from different numbers; all day long, even on the weekends and after 9 pm. I have yet to answer the phone calls. Before I do anything, as far as sending a DV letter, I wanted to check here first as to what I should do. I checked my credit report today, and PRA is it for two Capital One credit cards I had in 2006. The first Capital one card went into default on 10/2006. The balance was $1635, and they charged it off in the amount of $833. The second Capital one card defaulted on 1/2006.

Please help, I live in Iowa and have two loans out one with Emerald Marketing and on with My Web Funds. My bank has worked with me very well and has permantly blocked both companies. What do I need to do next. I have paid both companies $180 and borrowed $300. Please help me!!!

HI, I too have fallen into this terrible debt with Payday lenders. I had used them in the past and paid off the accounts but was scammed out of nearly $1800 by a fraudulent company and needed money to help pay bills/overdraft charges at my bank, so I reluctantly took out more loans...unfortunately now with losing all that money to the loan scammer I do not have extra money for my loan payments....so here I am as so many other people. I have already closed the bank account, especially after I was scammed by the original loan; so they can not access that.

[COLOR=#333333]I am being contacted by National Litigators wherein they claim they were hired by Think Cash to recover the unpaid balance for a payday loan I defaulted on about a year ago. I cannot find any information on them anywhere. They answer the phone as “National and National Litigator Services”.

Am I going to end up in jail?? I faxed and emailed ACH stopLetter yesterday. Changed bank accts yesterday. I wake up this morning and my acct is over $3000 in the Negative!!! I was told by one lady at my local bank that this Happen and keep the ACH stops and bring them in as needed. I was told by head bank that nothing can come out once closed I'm worried they will take my money from new acct to cover it. What can I do!??I'm in Arkansas

Has anyone filed chp 13 that has income around 75,000? I'm trying to figure out how much I might be required to pay each month. Is it likely I would have to pay back all my unsecured debt which is close to 60k? I'm just trying to figure out if BK is worth it vs. a DMP that I got info about from CCCS? The DMP had me paying about 744/mo for about 4.5 years

Hello everyone, Early last month I received a collection letter from a company known as Lakewalk, LLC which had been assigned by Chase Bank USA. I sent a request for validation letter as is commonly suggested. Last week I received a response from Lakewalk which lists Chase Bank USA, a credit card number, and an assigned amount.

Is Lighthouse Recovery and Powell Law Offices the same?
