im sorry I can't remember her name, but she sent me information about getting a checking account with non chex system. I used woodforest bank, they are located in walmart and they were wonderful, I got a second chance account, I had to pay $12 but that's not bad considering all the damn fees i was paying bank of america. The hours are great, they're even open on sundays and holidays, and I got a debit card and everything. yeah, trying to get back on track here! thanks! shelley

My chapter 7 was discharged 1 year ago , a house that was included in bk was suppose to sheriff sold but was delayed by mortgage co. 4 times now im told by the sheriffs office it was taken off the sale list by the mortage co. how long can this go on ? and because it was included in bk can i be accountable for any more money? and why would they delay the process ? now today i got a letter in the mail from the VA" Verteran " stating that im behind on mortgage , daaa i havent paid on mortgage in two years . seems really late in process to get this letter.

I have a 18,000 loan on my 401k (463 monthly payment) + 21,444 on credit cards. (mo min of 556). I would like to settle my debt myself. How should I proceed? If that is not possible what is good settlement company to go with? I am totally current with payments but next month there are going to be BIG problems. From what I see is that you have to be at least 2 months late on your payments. All this is making me worry and taking a toll on my health :sad:

Hi all. I won my Motion to Transfer Action. What does this mean for the current case? Is it 'closed' and they have to start over in my county? Or, if they pay the fees in the new county, does the case just continue? Or is just like starting over from square one? What happens to the timing of Discovery and such if somewhere in the middle there was a time period including a Transfer? Thanks!

Live in texas.my wife took out a loan with united cash,started out at 150.00.now its at 355.00 and climbing. Ii see what they are doing and how. cant find out if they are legal or not and if i should just close the account as it appears i have to..should i request the overpayment be sent back as im liable it appears for the 150.00 only or do a stop payment on the last 175 they took and pay the bank 28.00 a shot for each of the last 4 withdraws regaining about 60,00 only ?

By our own stupidity and lack of self control we have gotten ourself into a credit card mess. And now, because of situations out of our control, we can't pay our way out of it. In April, our oldest daughter (10) has been diagnosed with mental illnesses and our medical bills have shot through the roof. We're having to go to doctors and therapists up to four times a week. Even with our insurance, our copays are killing us. Something has to give.

I have cleared up 5 of my PDL's, but haven't email DJR Group yet because I have to wait 24 hours for my bank account to officially close. Everything I am reading on this site, which by the way has been a fantastic resource for me and my family so thank you, tells me that this company does NOT settle with anyone and that the are very aggresssive in their efforts to collec their money, or what they feel is rightfully theirs. Now the other 5 PDL's that I had worked with me and for the most part allowed me to pay back the principle amount an close them out.

I am trying to license my vehicle in another state {WV} every time I call (30 odd times) / fax the WV paperwork , I get the the run around and excuses from the staff ( the title is not on the premises, or we can't find the title ) this has been going on for 6 months now. I am now paying on a vehicle I can't drive due to the fact I can't get it license. What are my options ?

Since they are illegal what is the very first step (after blocking the ACH's and closing the account) should I take? If the first step is to write these predators a letter, can someone provide me with a form letter that worked for them?
