In the final stages

14 years 3 months ago
I live in PA and took out a payday Loan off of the internent from Cashnet USA. The amount of the loan was for 460 dollars all the way back in 2006. I unfortunately was going through some financial hardship at the time (twins were born) and was unable to pay the amount back. I switched banks for a completely seperate reason and moved and now I am getting contacted by them trying for check fraud saying that they will be taking me to court.

I think i have a plan, INPUT please DMP

14 years 3 months ago
nearly all of my 14 cards were approaching 100 days overdue, in addition to the nearly $1000's of dollars in overdrafts fees I was paying the last couple of months. I really didn't know what I was going to do. I recently made a little money, (a roommate) perfect! I dont have anywhere close to negotiate a settlement so DMP seemed perfect. I called each creditor and explained my situation, and here is it is. Oh, my bank account closed, it took nearly a week to get my money, but i managed.

Several questions

14 years 3 months ago
On September 4th, 2011 i sent a letter to Pinnacle Financial, asking what the debt was for, amt, acct history,etc... I have not received a response... What is the time period that they have to respond by? Also the state laws for being sued in court, is that the state i currently reside in? Or the state the debts were incurred in? I just relocated to another state this past summer... One more question... I know things stay on my credit report for 7 yrs... Well if i don't pay them, will they automatically be removed after 7 yrs, regardless if they are paid or unpaid?

Repayment Plan in IL

14 years 3 months ago
I entered a repayment plan on a payday loan. They are taking $300 out of each paycheck (I get paid twice monthly). I only have 2 more payments my financial situation has changed & paying $600 in 30 days is really difficult. Do I have the right to request they stretch the payments out over another 2 months so it's not so much - or am I stuck with this plan? When I requested the repayment plan they said I had to repay everything in 4 payments and that was the most that was allowed. Is this true? Thanks

student loan nightmare

14 years 3 months ago
I have $44,000 in student loan debt and just recently went into default but I sent a payment. Unfortunately, I only make about $1500 a month and could pay about $100 to $150 a month. I have heard they may work out a "reasonable" payment plan to get me out of default but what is reasonable to them? I cant afford $500 or $600 a month and I am worried they will take every penny I have and then some until the loan is paid in full. I am nervous to call them and have them tell me they need unreasonably large payments or they will garnish my wages and take my tax refund and attach my bank account.

would CCCS help more than what I've negotiated?

I can't afford to do a settlement, maybe once I get some balances paid, or with a tax refund check, but this is the best I can do. I called all my creditors and they all put me on a 60month pay off plan with reduced interest rates. Here's what I got.
