Payday Loan Debt Help in Oklahoma

14 years 3 months ago
I have gotten myself into some trouble with pay day loans. I have nver missed a payment or had an nsf but I can never seem to pay these off and keep them off. So i contacted each of the 6 that I have and asked them for their help and got no responses other then pay them. So I was contacted by Payday Debt Loan Consolidators and they told me that they could help me out. I don't know anything about them. So I am wary of giving someone my bank account information. I just closed my bank account that these loans are in and moved banks as I read that is the best thing to do.

FBCS Call...please help?

14 years 3 months ago
I got a phone call from FBCS saying they are collecting on a debt from Asset Acceptance...they were very pushy and claimed to have sent me letters (I had never heard of them before, though I have heard of Asset and had dealt with them). Does anyone know anything about these people? Are these one of the bad CA's? I'm worried based on the nature of the call.

Payday Direct - Anyone dealt with them?

and what was your experience? I have this one payday loan left. I know they are unlicesnsed. But how were they to deal with when you refused to pay more than the principal and either closed your account or blocked them for ACH purposes?

HELP! I'm being sued

14 years 3 months ago
I'm hoping someone can guide me as I've never been sued before so this is all so new to me. I just received papers the other day for a lawsuit on a credit card that I had completely forgotten I had. It's been since '07 and although I probably paid about 3 months on the credit card can't remember really it's been so long, I do know that I owe on it since it's come to light. My question is this, what do I do now that I have these papers in hand? I just started a new job and can't take the time off to go to court.

Tennessee help

14 years 3 months ago
Ok, I have been reading through some threads. Correct me if I am wrong, but United Cash Loans are not legal in TN. I have 3 loans with them, 200 paid 240, 300 paid 270 ( I think is right), and 400 paid I think 360. I should only owe the principal, although it Is going to be a hassle. I am having to close our account because we have paid close to $700 in OD fees to the bank in the last month. I, like most here, tried to fix problems but in hindsight created more. We already have a new account opened and my wife's check will be going there next payday. Mine on the other hand won't.

Debt Settlement

14 years 3 months ago
How do I find a good debt settlement/law firm? I have settled numerous credit cards on my own previously and paid for them. I have 3 cards left and I know the amounts they are willing to settle for, but I am out of money. I am worried they are going to eventually come and detach my wages. Do the debt settlement companies stop that from happening and do they stop the collection calls? Thank you! Jim

Attorney's office not willing to negotiate

14 years 3 months ago
[COLOR=black]I have an attorney office representing 2 different companies trying to collect roughly $27,000 in old credit card debt. One is Commerce Bank, a local Midwestern bank, and the other is Midland funding who bought an old Chase debt. Both of these debts are over 4 years old. I have called but they are unwilling to settle for less than 60%, unfortunately I do not have $16,000. I tried to work out a payment but they will make me pay the full amount, along with the default interest rate for 3 years. It is over $1,000 a month.

Alegis Group

14 years 3 months ago
I have received several calls (At least 10 since Monday) from different representatives of Alegis Group. I called them back and they claim I owe for a Payday loan from 2009. I was in military in 2009 and deployed to Afghanistan so I know I didn't get any type of loan. I asked them on Monday to send me proof. They said they would but wanted a $200 payment right away to keep me from being charged with check fraud while they got documentation together. I refused because I know I don't have any type of outstanding loans.

First Steps

I am so happy I found this forum. I have been reading as much as I can on how to possibly approach my situation all morning, and everyone seems to be a wealth of knowledge. I want to make sure I am taking all the appropriate steps in the right order to regain control of my financial situation. I have numerous outstanding payday or installment loans, and the payments are now at the point where they are going to exceed my paycheck. I need to make sure I can pay rent, etc., so I am in dire straights and know this is completely my fault.
