Hello, I fell on real hard times and I have not paid my student loan in four years, If the loan collector try's to sue me.

I took out a loan in April with Loan Point USA for 600.00. I have since paid them 670.00. My account has been closed as I am dealing with other Illegal payday lenders. Before I started investigating and found out about these illegal lenders in Florida, I settled with LPU for an additional 780.00, and this is to be paid as 6 monthly installments of 130.00, which I have already paid 1. Since this lender is not licensed in Florida should I continue to pay them or should I send them the same illegal lender letters as I have sent the others. Technically they owe me 70.00.

I was referred to Persels & Assoc through CareOne. I researched CareOne and found positive feedback online. They've automatically deducted two payments from my bank account (this is how they work). And I've received two letters saying they are unable to contact me and will close my account if not able to do so, yet they've never called nor left messages. I called them once and said that my account was in good standing. Two days ago a got pdf file from them via email stating the have closed my account on MY request. This is complete rubbish. Can you please advise me on what to do now?

I just got a letter from St. Louis Medicredit. Today, will call them and find out what this is about and deal with it Monday. They gave me a check for a refund payment and then on the same letter it is a debt they are collecting. I have never paid them anything and never heard from them before so how could I have over paid them.?. Are they trying to get me into some sort of agreement unaware?

Hello. I received a summons at my mailbox (private mailbox store, not USpost office). It was not in an envelope. It was dropped off with the guy working there. I live in a different county, but still keep my mailbox in San Francisco. 1. There is no proof of service, how do I know when the 30 days kicks in, so I know the deadline to respond? 2. What if I hadn't gone to check my mailbox for another couple weeks (not uncommon)? Could they have had a court case without me? 3. Having received the summons, should I send a DV letter, or should I just save that for discovery etc. 4.
