I was wondering if these two are the same company uinder two different names. I was told by a firend that they are the same. On my credit report first I had Midland for the amount od $1707.00 and as of 12/2004 I have MRC Receivables for the same old credit card bill for the amount of $2734.00. I was also told that the company can not sue you twice for the same bill, even if they use a different name. Please if you can help in any way to get these issues taken off of my credit report. Hello, Recently a deputy came to my parents house in VA with 'papers'. I'm assuming I am being sued by collection agency for a credit card I purposefully have not agreed to pay on (verbally or written) for the past 3 years. I live in California right now and have not recieved any mail or messages on the phone about this.

I received a phone call from IAG stating that i had an outstanding pay day loan in the amount of $1688 and they are willing to settle for $510. I was in a rough spot and quite possibly taken this loan, i did take a few and dont remember. How do i know if the original pay day loan company is legal. I want to pay my debts, but i do not have the money to just throw away. The representative from IAG said that they sent a certified letter but no one signed for it (because i never got it) and that they were going to schedule a time for me to appear in court. I am not sure what to do at this point.

Is it true that Midland Funding LLC and MRC Receivables are the same company? If so can they filed against you with the three credit agenies? This last filing was done 12/2004 from MRC Receivables. I have tried to clear up this account twice with no avail from either topic names. Please help if possible.:evil:

I Have a debt (upwards of 70kusd) accumulated over 6 years, from several credit cards/banks in California, that have been in default for three years. I'm assuming by now its been resold several times to collection agencies. I've been unemployed for last 2 years, lost it all...no assets, very low bank acc balance, bank account has never been frozen so i think a default judgement hasn't been placed. I have no address or utilities in my name, and do not reside in the state where debts were established..but need to establish a residence address in my name later this year. questions- -likelihood

Good morning. Recently, I have gotten myself in the payday loan loop. Things have been tough, and this is only making it tougher. I need to know what to do to get out of this financial muck . I have 3 pdl internet loans. The internet loans are doing ach debits from my checking account, and recently, I have not been able to cover these, resulting in NSF fees from my bank as well. I asked the bank to close my account, but they said that any debit would re-open it for the next 30 days, so when these companies try to debit my account again, it will reopen it.

I sent a DV letter to Capital One to dispute the account. I got back 3 statements and the agreement, but no signed docs etc. The 3 statements had no activity, but a balance which I don't recognize. What can I do now? Jules

how long after a judgement can a CA collect? Pressler sent me a letter recently saying "a judgment was entered against me on March 25, 2005." It is now June 13, 2011. I thought 6 years was the limit to collect, am I correct? Thank you
