My wife, linda cowdery received a letter from afni dated 4/18/11 to linda codery requested payment of a past due bill of $320.26 from at&t. The time frame listed was 1/1/08-4/7/08. My wife contacted afni and was told that it was an "identity theft " and to clear it, they would send forms that would need to be completed. We received the forms and they require a driver's license and social security number. We are not willing to provide this information to afni. How would you recommend that we resolve this matter?

My son-in-law graduated from Full Sail in Winterpark, Fl in October of 2010. He, like an earlier submit, thought he had put his loan in deferrment or whatever it's called. Last week he received a bill for a late loan payment - one he didn't even know he owed. When he went in to check his online account, he discovered that he had a past due amount of $2500 - for ONE MONTHs PAYMENT!

:shock: Attorney Ed Overcash had his paralegal call me today and offer to settle or they would sue.I've been paying them 100.00 per month for the last 5 months on time. They offered a settlement of 2581.12 of which the original balance was 5755.63 > With the 500.00 I've already paid + the 2581.12 that would be 3081.12 total or approximately .5353% Should I take this or are they bluffing about the lawsuit......:confused: All opinions are welcome,GLTA gator11 :D

Well I got my PIF letter with the typical "you agreed to the BVI laws when signing this contract". I'm not satisfied though, I feel like a PIF letter is basically them saying "We've been raping you for over a year now, and now that you realize it is illegal for us to rape you, we're going to stop raping you". But my butt feels a little RAW from all the raping, so I don't think I'm going to stop here. "All requests for refunds must be mailed to the following address: ICA Management Inc.

I have several payday loans and they are draining my paycheck each week so that I cannot pay my bills or even have enough to put gas in my car to go to work. Does anyone know where or how I can go about getting these people out of my accounts?

Anyone get calls from these people? Got one yesterday - from the "locator" (actually two different "locators" left voicemails - one at home and one at work) saying they were going to serve me. I called the number and spoke with a "Hal Bennett" - said he was not a debt collector but bought my debt from Eastside with the sole purpose of filing bad check (ACH) and breach of contract charges against me. I would not give him information, etc., and told him to do what he needed to do and hung up. These people are actually American, but seem to have the same script as all the others.

Hi, I was hoping that someone might be able to help me. I stupidly took out payday loans in the past and regret it wholeheartedly, as I was unable to pay them all back in time due to a layoff. I am now getting collection calls from different places, and I can't determine if these are legitimate collection agencies or not. Hopefully someone can offer me some sound advice. Also, I live in Pennsylvania. Thanks in advance. I took out a total of 5 payday loans in the past, 2 of which are completely paid off.

To date I have received 2 PIF letters and 2 refunds from Galaxy Marketing and Integrety Advance. East Side Lenders was calling me about 3 times a day and sending emails every other day for 2 months but those have stoped. I responded to each email with my letter and continued to send an email demanding a PIF letter everyother day since they stoped contacting me with no response from them. Star Cash Processing has stoped contacting me but I continued to send emails to them demanding my refund and a PIF letter.

:(I recently took a loan with USfastcash.com for 500.00 the first payment is due 05/23/11 for 150.00 the website shows this and there is an option to pay in full. I'm worried because right after I applied I started receiving scam collection calls, I'm not in default on anything. So I started researching all of this.

BCR should be banned from doing business. They call repeatedly for a debt that is not mine. They have even call third parties, my local tax collector, asking for me? This is not even my debt and I do not even know how they got my name or information. I have tracked the activity and not only do they call repeatedly, but the use several different telephone numbers throughout the day! This is just awful.
