Hi I had some tests done in November of 2010 and paid cash because I have no insurance. A month later a bill popped up so I paid it another month goes by another bill after trying to fight it, I paid it as well. Then on March 9 I get a call from a collection agency about another "unpaid bill" I told them all the bills I got, I paid. They were sending the bill to an address I haven't lived at in 4 or 5 years. I asked for something in writing they said they would send it, they didn't. SO I called on April 6 and asked for a copy of the bill this time they sent it, it was post marked April 9.

Hello, I was wondering if you know anything regarding filing a order to show cause in Upstate NY, I found out i have a judgment for over 2 years and they say i was served but in fact i was never served. I was told i need to file a motion to vacate a judgment, so i am curious if you happen to know more about this. or If you know of any posts regarding this type of motions, please let me know. It says property to be levied upon is described as follows: "Levy on any and all accounts and safe deposit boxes in the judgment deptor's name. SSN ####." My parents have nothing, don't own property, no car, barely have anything in their checking accounts except for the SS benefits that are directly deposited. They understand their credit is trashed, but they are in no position to repay the debt now. 1. Usually how long before a bank account actually gets frozen?

Today, the law firm Rausch, Sturm, Israel, Enerson & Hornik took all the money in my checking account that had been directly deposited by my employer. I did receive a letter a few months ago about a judgement against me (I live in IA), but since that letter, I've been calling to try and work out payments. I have to admit that I was very overwhelmed with all of the legal speak in the letter, but couldn't afford to use a lawyer. I am hoping to be able to deal with this myself, so here are my questions: Are they really allowed to take all of the money that was deposited?
