Just settled with the BOA for 29%! MAN, it feels GOOOD to get them out the way! I was right at about 180 days (maybe a few days more) when they called last week. I talked to them on first week of March, when they was stuck on 60%. Called them back exactly 2 weeks later (still stuck on 60%). Didn't hear anything, until they called me 15 days after that. After a few questions about my income, they settled for 29%! Got my letter in hand. They were VERY nice through this whole thing! Thanks DCC friends!

I received a notice from Afni to collect a debt that I thought I had paid, but I do not have proff.They will let me settle for $100.00, but the debt is less than a $1000.00.I want to know if the SOL has run for New York? The debt was made in 2004.If I settle ,how can I be sure they will not contact me again?

i set up a few payments with one particular "person" and when i was struggling to have the funds for that week, i'd call four to five days ahead but would never get a response..they fucking suck! Worst fucking place ever...makes me learn my lesson to pay off my shit. But wouldn't you want to pick up your call or when someone leaves you a fucking message wouldnt you want to respond back..

I just discovered something WONDERFUL that just saved me from having to come up with 330 bucks on Friday for a payday loan I cannot pay. I got up in the cycle of constant re-loaning and I put my foot down and said I won't do it anymore. Basically, if your PDL is a member of the CFSA (cfsaa.net) then they HAVE to offer an extended payment program. I have to come up with 82.50 every two weeks, which is much better than 330. I still have another loan out for 230, but I plan on paying it and shortening it a little a time. I am absolutely ecstatic because this really saved me.

I thought I was doing good but today UCL called my home which I have now blocked their number and my cell they didn't leave a message. I took 150.00 paid 135.00 in fees alone I only owe 15.00 so they can stuff it! I filed complaints with the BBb but what else can I do I am in NJ:confused:

I know these PDLs are frustrating and stressful. But I wanted to let you in on a little funny I did today. I recently got google voice which allows me to call anyone and my home phone is not provided ever. I called the PDL that has callled me 15 times today at work and at home. I said I was: Marilyn Monroe returning a call to Frank Novak. (Yes Marilyn Monroe);) I was asked to spell it 3 times. Was asked what phone number the call came to. Said I have no idea it came through a switch board and I received a paper message. They put me on hold, got a manager. Kevin McLane.

I have been divorced for 3 years. Prior to our divorce I discovered my wife at the time had taken out 65,000 worth of student loans. I knew of one for 5000. Needless to say I was stunned. In our divorce decree, by consent, I agreed to the responsibility of a portion of the 5000 I knew of. She was to be held responsible for the balance. At least according to the decree. I contacted the Student loan company claiming to be the administrator of this loan. They only used me long enough to garnish my wages. I faxed them all of the divorce decree information. They did not care.

I currently have 3 PDLs out that I cannot continue to keep paying for all in one lump sum. Is there a way to consolidate the loans into a small payment plan?
