I just received a threatening phone call from Simm Asocaites about a loan I guess. We have not gotten anything from them in the mail. I tried to work out an arrangment but, this man was extremly mean he said I need to sell everything we have and send them the money. Well, we had flood last year and recently a tornado employment is bad here. He then proceeded to give me numbers for fast food restaurants that are hiring. Can you thr3eaten us like this especially with no validation.

I have two PDL financial dept./legal offices calling me demanding money. They speak little english and mostly Aisian accent, not able to understand anything they say. One of them reveled all my information on the account they are holding to the wrong person at my place of employment. Since they violated the Privacy Act of Information, do I still have to pay them? I think they are collecting for a loan I am already paying a debt services company to pay for me.

I had a phone number on my caller ID that goes back to AMO. I verified with Minnesota department of commerce and this locaiton is licensed in Minnesota. That scares me to death. My question is - why are they not leaving a message. Also, does anyone know who they normally collect for and are they associated with Peach Street Law Center. I had a few IPDL 2 years ago and am surprised they still call. It seems that a new company calls a couple weeks after I send a debt validation and cease/desist. Can anyone offer any theories.

Hi Nellie , I have several "disputed accounts " that show up on my credit report . These accounts were opened fraudulently and even though they are paid off with a zero balance , the fact that they were disputed (5 years ago ) is now keeping me from getting a mortgage . My overall credit scores are good and I otherwise qualify for the mortgage , but the mortgage company wants a letter from WFFNB stating that these accounts are no longer in dispute and in fact have a zero balance . How can I go about getting this done quickly

Ok so what does it mean if a PDL heeds your request to stop ACH and does not debt your account? The amount borrowed was 400.00 and have repaid 530.00 in fees and interest. 15 letters have been sent but no replies back, but they did not debit any money this week as they have the other 13 weeks. I had a couple of student loans on deferment when I became injured and was unable to work. Lots of medical stuff going on and I just did not keep up on this issue.
