I have a question about how to stop my automatic payment

Sears 2,000 ? Cap One 3,000 ? Do not plan on any phone communication until receive settlement offers in mail/email.

Name was never on this account, just have the same last name of deceased's. Husband sister died and left a $490.00 Verizon bill to be paid. When the sister died my husband canceled her account, he had to give his name and proof of death:rolleyes: in doing so now Allied is harassing my children and husband and even put a $ 490.00 against my son's credit. What can be done? :confused:

USAA Collections (Portfolio recovery?) Contacted me again and I offered $4k on a 24.5K debt 8 ,months old. they countered with 6100. Should I hold out for my 4K? I really want it as low as possible due to other debts that I am trying to settle. (all or nothing) They state it will be "settled in Full" thats where I don't don't know how to protect myself from future collections!

My huband borrowed money from this company over 1500.00 more than 15 times and at last lost our home i became unemployeed and we did change checking accounts as we tried to make payment arrangements but they were less than understanding. I recently found that they are not registered in the state of Florida and it had been 5 years now they are treatening my husbands pay. We are good people paid timely with interest of you can imagine but we are not feeling uneasy with these new threating calls an have retained a lawyer for bankruptcy as i also was a countrywide bao borrower.

I have spent the entire day reading threads and gleening all the info i can. I have turned the BBB website upside down and found quite a bit on there as well. i was separated from my husband for just over a year. He recently came home, but brought this nightmare with him. He makes over 700 dollars a week and is lucky to have 100 left after hes check goes in. Of course he came back because he knows I will fix this or die trying.

I just found this site and I'm so glad! I live in NY so PDLs are illegal. I'm going to close my account and send the letters, but will they call my references?

I came on this forum last August after I was going negative the same day I was getting paid, from payday lenders. I followed the wonderful advice I found here and six months later, $11,000 in payday loans is gone. They were written off if not legal, settled, and one who was abusive ended up paying me $. Now I am back. With a bigger problem, but I know with the love and heart of everyone who reads this someone will have a solution. I got into mess/debt for a lot of reasons.

Has anyone received a call from a number 18778598779. They called three times today and I have never heard of this company. Someone said they usually call regarding phone bills???

A suppose bill collector called today saying I defaulted on a pay day loan. I haven't even heard of this company. The guy threatened to send me to the DA that I will have to take check writing class and lose my license. Is that possible?
