Ok backstory, in 2006 my juniper credit card was charged off. In 2007, Harvest Credit Management bought the account and used underhanded tactics to try and collect. They sued me and I countersued. In return for dropping my claim, they dropped their claim and it was dismissed with prejudice. Fast forward to this week. I get a letter in the mail from RPM collecting on behalf of Harvest for that same account. Wouldn't that be a violation since the case was dismissed with prejudice 3 years ago?

I have received a debt validation letter from a Citibank Mastercard debt that is being handled by Pro Consulting Services. I owe $30,000 and hope to settle, but I am worried I will just be sued. Anyone have advice?

My auto loan was charged off with a balance of $1452.00. I still have the vehicle. The loan was sent to a collection agency Ocwen/Nationwide Credit. I contacted them to make arrangements to pay off the balance. We arranged 2 payments of $726. The first payment was drafted without incident. All of the funds weren't going to be available on the prearranged date for the second payment so I phoned and asked if we could break that payment into 2 payments.

My sallie mae loan is now in collections, and i wanted to know if there is a way for me to get ahold of them to try to make payment arrangements, or something to prevent them from garnishing my wages, or anything else?

I have some debt on my credit report that is from old accounts, many of which are old or closed by now. No current accounts nor credit card debt. Finally, I have some money to contact and negotiate payment options. But I was recently told by getting them off of my credit report, will leave less credit to compare and my credit score will drop even further. Something about having ok credit is better than no credit history. Where should I start?
