Is Allied Interstate a legal collection company for several credit card companies? I want to be sure before I do anything. The person was real nice and polite with me and told me about a credit card that I owed. I have a letter too, but it's has the address of Columbus, OH but the person I talked to was from India.

i have a internet pay day loan through jvc. I closed down my bank account and now jvc has turned it over to capital recovery associates. they called my work, cell and my father's house and said they were having a summons and the local authorities sent to my work for fraudelent check. I live in south carolina and did the pay day loan on line. can an on line loan be considered a bounced or fraudelent check? these people are very nasty on the phone and have been to my father as well.

I received a message from the "director of a firm"Jacobson and Associates in new york saying they had a civil suit that changed status and wanted to inform me of my settlement options before they faxed , at the request of their client, information to their district office in columbus oh, lorain county( which is the county in ohio i live in ) my work hr department, and chex systems. Now after a little searching, I think they are notorius for this stuff. I know it is in regards to a payday loan.

]Hello, I have been browsing through your forums and come across a lot of very helpful advice. There was one particular detail that I could not find an answer to. To start, I will describe my situation. I currently am being debited by three PDL's for a combined $360 a month; I have overpaid all three by outrageously higher amounts than what I initially borrowed, and yet all three claim it was "interest" and that I have not paid any of the principle that I owe. The most frequest suggestion I see on your forums is to close my bank account that they are debiting and open a new one.

I have a debt of $1,600 from a auto loan that i took in 2003, I didn't make a payment on the account for several years. I recently received a 1099c from the bank that gave me the loan, but i've been contacted by a collection agency that doesn't own the debt but is collecting on behalf of the bank. I have talked to the bank and they will not report it as "paid in full" if i settle with them. What is my best option? Wait for the statute of limitations? Pay the full amount owed, or agree on a settlement? Does a 1099c take away the banks right to collect?
