So I keep getting these same calls and the gentleman on the other end tells me his name is "James Green". This person is so far from having an american name just like I ride a camel to work. hen asked for their contact information I am transfered to someone else has a name that I can assure you is not on his birth certificate. This person also willnot give me his address. They stopped calling for a little while and started up again last week...What shall I do

Portfolio Recovery & ASSociates contacted me via phone after a supposed Fashion Bug debt was more than 15 years old! I never had a Fashion Bug credit card and suspected that an employee from Fashion Bug charged up this bogus account. I requested a list of itemized charges including my past address and credit card application from that time through the mail.

so I keep getting these calls from this so-called law firm in california trying to collect on a payday loan debt that I don't even know about...these guys...or guy I should say has called my phone# before by the name of John Smith...or David Brown...but clearly has an Indian accent or Middle Eastern accent of some kind....somehow knowing my name and # and wants me to fax info like credit or debit card#..last four of ss #, driver license, etc...my instincts tell me this guy is a scammer...any input would be greatly appreciated.

Who is pdlnow? Applied for a loan through another loan site the pdlnow called said I was preapproved for a loan. Wanted me to through a lot of hassel taking me through another web browser and alot more questions. Did not seem right I told them I did not want this loan and all my information remove told them 3 times were rude. I did not sign a contract with them. Do I need to worry?

I called Pinnacle about $154 debt and they sent me to another collection agency, asking my soc sec each time and then a third CA with rude guy who told me the debt was from 1998, but they had bought it and updated it. I had wrote and disputed with the original company! It was suppose to have been removed! Then the guy wanted my newest phone number. I hung up!! I will call the original company and find out why they kept/sold a debt that was suppose to be finished.

I received a summons in person yesterday 3/6/2011 from attorney's office, Farrell & Seldin, Centenniel, Colorado, saying I owe $1846.00 to a Midland Credit Management, Inc (claiming the original creditor is Chase). I have never received any documents saying I owed this money nor did I even have the opportunity to send a validation letter. If I had recieved any sort of notification from them, I certainly have enough knowledge and sense to have sent a validation letter to them immediately.
