My name is Jeff and I just found this community. I am hoping to learn a lot because my financial situation has gone from fairly stable to out of control in 2 months. Prior to February 15th, I was earning $52K per year as a pastor. My wife is disabled and brings home $805 from Social Security Disability. We were managing our finances barely, but we were gaining ground. Now, I am unemployed. Pastors are not eligible for unemployment. We went from around $4500 per month to $805. Monthly expenses were about $4100.

I just received notice that Allied Interstate has been calling one of my family members - I think quite often, the way it sounds. I do not have a clue why they are calling them. What do I need to do to get them to stop!!

I just got another call today that they (I didn't tell them it was me) that they need to serve me a summons to go to court and where to do it or at my work. It is the same number they are giving me and it is a payday solutions and I am petrified that they are seriously going to serve me. It must be on the payday loans that I had and had to close my bank account just because of this and I honestly don't know if they are saying this to scare me or if they can actually serve me to go to court. They are calling my work and phone back to back.
